So bloody troublesome, now have to call in for annual fee waiver. I thought automatically waived? I'm referring to my One Card Platinum RM195 annual fee

just sharing the grace period after payment due date

statement date: 3rd
payment due date (PDD): 23rd (+20 days) <-- distracted from making payment on this day biggrin.gif

actual payment: 26th (+3 days after PDD) <-- kudos to Public Bank cuz they sent sms alert for late payment (due date 24th) ... quickly paid UOB and PBB cards on the 26th.

so far, not yet hit finance charge or late payment fee. phew!

Is anyone experiencing problem accessing https://pib.uob.com.my/ on Chrome?

When I use Chrome to access uob internet banking I get this error

This site can’t be reached
Check if there is a typo in pib.uob.com.my.

But no problem at all when I use Edge.

This problem started only recently.

Maybe can try clear chrome's cache or launch in incognito mode. So far I have no problem.

I remembered i also got few times late paid on +21 & +22 and didn't kenak interest last time on UOB

Out of topic, speaking of this, HLB told me grace period now is 5 days after 20th
I need to monitor this month statement cause i have a HLB BT exceed expiry date due as the UOB BT slow transfer to my CC (it using GIRO, argh)

HLB BT expiring : 24th May
Transfer from UOB to HLB CC : 24th May
Called HLB to transfer exceed payment amount from HLB CC to respective BT : 24th May
Actual transferred : 26th May

That guy told me no worry on interest cause that 5 days grace period :\
But if got, i think i might call to waive also.

banks not that forgiving on waiving interest. 1st time or so, possible. if repeatedly getting it, they wont waive it eventually.

Slightly off topic, but even if bank don't charge late fees/interest, you might be hit with a 1 in CCRIS if it's around CCRIS update date. Kena before with HSBC

Example:
Payment due date: 9th
Bank update CCRIS: 10th
Date paid: 11th

Just called for waiver and need to wait first maybe for few days for reversal.

I look at the TnC, looks like starting Jan 2026 they want us to use RM15k p.a in order to waive AF.
*
after reading your post, just realised that my annual fee also recurred in June

QUOTE(1mr3tard3d @ Jun 3 2025, 03:23 AM)
didn't notice they added the minimum spending for subsequent waiver
but from past experiences, annual fee waiver was relatively lenient
retention team might also come up with 3-year annual fee waiver counter offer
well, we shall see if that ceases
*
still as usual, waived without condition
certainly did not hit the minimum spend stated on the web

I think the new min annual spend will apply next year.
But this year still able to waive I did the request via call CS. Took few days to reverse although said timeline might state appear in next statement cycle but I insist to expedite faster as I do not want to pay first.

I don't know about others but I have stopped calling banks to activate for overseas usage years ago. No issue for MBB, HLB, UOB, AmBank, SCB and CIMB in recent years. PBB, I have never used it overseas, so I cannot say much. HSBC I already cancelled it, and even if I had it, I won't use it overseas.
