hmm its seems that most of you all here are quite luck so young yet so much potential and earning power. Consider yourself to be very luck for the ppl who has to strive from the very start from - form 5 started working and then to pay for his or her's education and after few dog gone years at 28 still earning peanuts of RM3.2K that is not much if you are living in KL/ City area. With Car loans and mistakes u made by having credit card and duped by some MLM ppl it not easy to make ends meet. For all that i can say is that stick to non contract jobs as its better and dont take things for granted.

QUOTE(wickedghost @ Dec 18 2009, 08:49 AM) 1 tip...go offshore u can earn at least 5k for fresh graduate...but you must tahan homesick and seasick lar Added on December 18, 2009, 8:51 amduring sch time, our parents is supporting us lar...rental, hp bills, sch fees all paid by them....now every single cent you spent is from your own pocket lar.. Thats your ego. It really depends on how you look at the whole picture. Some people really wanted to show dependency by moving out living alone or just wanna have their own life. But in reality, its aint simple as that. You have a price to pay for what you wish for, its fair and square. We do take things for granted and spent money unwisely for most of the time. This post has been edited by andrekua: Dec 18 2009, 06:52 PM

QUOTE(hian @ May 4 2007, 11:49 AM) How much you want to earn is all depend on your working attitude. Qualifications in paper no doubt can bring you into well-established firms more easily. However, to secure your butt in there with high pay, then you better get ready to undergo or be able to take some stress, show your brain juice to your bosses, work smart and hard, treat your office/work place as your 2nd home, treat your colleagues well but don't get too close with each other, at least in office (some bosses don't like it). Remember, your boss hire you to raise the company revenue, directly or indirectly. Your boss may login to LYN at this hour to find ways to mod his PC case but not you, unless your action is able to bring in revenue for the company. So, show him what you have got in your brain to help him, do what he says, but don't do what he does. I believe it is not that difficult to make more than 5K in KL these days, almost all my frens who have a degree make more than 5K in their late 20s in KL. The factors to help u get 5K mayb are: 1) the field u r in 2) qualification 3) company u join 4) some luck 5) personality and capability 6) and etc... Few years back (2005) I used to make 5k (when I was below 28), and I feel that it is alot, and I live a quality life. But when I come back to KL recently, everything is so expensive, the chicken rice is 4rm now (or more). The only thing is still cheap in KL is petrol (heard it will increase next year) and car (I mean proton). But it is just very hard to survive on ur own with 2k or 3k nowadays in KL. That's y I really think 5k at 28 is really a norm now, nothing to shout about. We should change the thread to "how to make more than 10K at 30"...
