Better not let the age 28 bug you. At the end of the day, is whether how much you keep in the bank.

let say a 28 year old earning RM6K, RM1.5K for car, RM2K for house, RM1K monthly expenses. RM1.5K in bank, or worse if you go shopping and mamak everynight, probably saved only RM500.

i can say most people will buy car first to show off, paying more for petrol and spare parts. they may look rich on the outside but they are poor on the inside.

aiya most ppl that post here usually overstate their salary by either including bonus/mileage claims/benefits into their salary

they just plainly like to bullsh!t.

It is true some can earn a lot more than RM5k at the age of 28 though.. but this is the forums.. People could say they are earning RM50k a month and you have no way of verifying it do you?

I would wager that the vast majority of postings in this thread is pure unadulterated BS when it comes to declaring one's own earnings.

Also, there are some late bloomers in the income earning cycle i.e. they earn substantially more and even exceed most of their peers at a later stage of their career say in their 30s and 40s.

y not ? as long as you start working at your earlier age and in the right field, earning 5k before 28 is possible. Some ppl achieve it around 25

easy answer. Finish ur form 5 then enrol into a maritie academy ( ALAM or Singapore Poly, etc) 18yrs old k. Get your starting salary at USD 700 a month sail for your seatime come back to continue your marintime studies. 10 yrs down the road u mak captain ( 28yrs old) then you command a min salary of USD 300 per day. bear in mind this is the lowest possible Master's salary in malaysia. I know some companies offer USD 500 a day for marine captains. so you'll be earning well over RM5k a month by the time u're say 23 or so.

let me narrow down, sales rep that i can think of now is medical sales & FMCG. while for the account, only doing account and support global in MNC, no audit,finance thing.

sales rep for medical and fmcg ftw, of course.

Hey hey! i'm 25 year old and i alreadey hit the mark of 5k per month!~

About 6-7k before deducting epf + tax. What i can share is, my previous working experience i am working in quite a niche market i should say and ended up with some certifications. Well my certificate is the one who finds me my job. that's all i can say. Of course my experience as well in this field.
