join oil and gas company.. right after graduating, u'll be earning >10k permonth working offshore or working in some arab country.
*
i agree with u but u dont even have to graduate or go to an arab country, offshore Western Australia there are ppl are getting heaps just being cooks and cleaners in the mining camps, the futher away u are from the city ie perth the more you get paid ranges from 60k-100k AUD a yr, but it can be hard work with long hrs, but hey no experience. i dont know how ppl get visas for australia though - but possibly you could investigate.
these ppl earn more than ppl with degrees...major sigh! but i could never do that kind of work.

Are you sure contractors are force to pay tax?
My current TL is a contractor, I don't know the exact amount he is getting paid but I am estimating around 300usd/day. He doesn't getting any benefits from the company.IE no EPF and EA form. Basically my company act as an agent/headhunter.

He is usually on a 3 months contract and he don't pay any taxes and yes he is a malaysian.

Miss (if i got it right), every malaysian are subject to pay income tax, unless you're anak agong or something, that im not sure whether they need to pay tax or not. hahahahah

It's either the person work under a headhunter company, and get paid from them or register his/her own company, they still need to pay income tax, yes you can choose not to pay, then can see whether you're lucky enough not to get a letter from LHDN demanding you to pay the outstanding amount. So far i haven't heard of any contractors didnt pay income tax, coz they know when the 'time' comes, imagine if you've been avoiding tax for 2 years, every month earning 20k, how much you're gonna pay later if got caught? hahahahah....

Most contractors will register a company, come out with virtual employee, saying that hiring friend or family members as employee so that no need to pay income tax so much. Enough said, revealed too much. hehehehheh

OK I don't know how the tax system work, in our line of work we usually work overseas. So the agent company will pay around 300usd/day to cover the salary/living expenses and other misc stuff. So we are free to fill in whatever salary that we get on the tax return form.

Now tell me, are we supposed to pay Malaysia tax if we are working oversea most of the time since we have to fork out for work permit & visa and pay oversea tax while we are working there.

as long as ur company is a registered unit here, and u r employed under that unit by malaysian law...
then u hav to....if ur annual income exceed certain amount (divide to monthly equals to RM2.5K roughly)
certain allowance is considered income, certain claim is taxable while some not...depends...u ll hav to check...

Malaysian tax laws aren't so draconian, if you've paid taxes somewhere else while you worked there and you have the proof then you don't have to pay taxes in Malaysia.

However if you don't pay taxes overseas and you don't pay taxes in Malaysia then there may be a problem biggrin.gif

I just started working in architect firm as a junior architect. My senior (previously in Uni) who is working in this company earning RM6k++ per month and he just 26th this year. I asked him, how? he said work harder, the main secret is, impress ur boss all the time...and he got 4 times increament last year...

So, i think it is possible.
