Seriously, I think we're just wasting our time here - some people just need to *get* real! 

1 million divide by 12 is approx 80k per month.. which is too good to be true...

So far I have not heard any company in Malaysia is willing to invest RM100mil in IT systems (infrastructure maybe yes).

oh man, then become engineer may have income close to 10k with 3-4 years exp... basic = 5000 OT = ~500 Bonus = 2.5 months RSU = 250unit *3.2*USD20 = 16000 oversea allowance average 3 months = USD50*3*30*3.2 = 14400.. so total sum up annual income = 110,000 ringgit , monthly average = RM9000.... but can't count like that rite...

Actually it's true, you don't have to be in Oil and Gas or a specific industry to earn big money and having a Masters or Ph.D doesn't always mean you have the edge (although somehow you do)

As for myself, I'm still working towards that 5 figure and I certainly hope I'll get it before 30.

To those who thinking of working as contractors, because you heard ppl saying they earn up to 20k per month or can buy a car with monthly salary, think again. They havent mention whats the amount they need to pay for the income tax. hahahahahhah

been there, done that, hurt most.

lol.. it's nt easy to earn 5k a month with amway unless you have many ppl under you that sells a lot..

I think the thread is more catering towards "the rest of us" who have to work our way up from a 2k per month starting salary. Actually I really think it should be easy to do. Assume you start working at 23, you only need to average a 15% increase per year to earn 5k by 30, it should be trivial to do by combining promotions, raises & increments.

Is your basic is Rm5k? My basic definition is excluded Allowance, overtime,commision, and claims.

i know a lot too before, but without enterprise level experience, i am nothing, now also i know a lot too, but with experience in enterprise level, i can demand kaw2 on my salary.

have to disagree with this, company in malaysia pay us based on current market salary, in malaysia only, but if u work overseas, say dubai, they have to pay maybe 4-5 times more than that, due to ur status as an expatriate, and also lack of expertise in their own country, big money but no expertise, furthermore all expenses for ur wife and kids will be bare by them, do u think company in malaysia will do that?

Agreed with Hian said. Boss like if you capable to wrk smart & hard.

However also depend industri area. If you are in Oil & Gas, Health, FMCG,chemical. The chance to get high paid is possible. Some even 10k or more before 30 age.
