agreed. now fresh graduate (say age 23) can get starting salary 2.5-3k. after few years working experience should be easily to reach 5k. so to earn 5k in age 28 is not a dream anymore.

find job in oil industry, can get more than 10k...i got diploma, starting get 2.5k...but off course, u need to performed, or else bye2...

Absolutely possible... and it doesn't have to be in oil&gas industry (I am in IT field myself). But come to think of it 5k+ is really nothing especially when you have house&car loan to repay.

Just managed to pass the 5k mark before turning to 28 in months time. In fact, I am some ways to go before hitting my target of 10K at 30. Well low increment in FMCG for this year as per the survey on TheStar. Sigh
