guys ... there are cases where banned console updated with new dashboard can't install their games to hard drive, n the installed games on the hard drive prior to update can't be play anymore ... so beware.

I hope this right place to ask but I can't set up my Xbox to connect to the network or the internet (Streamyx). I'm not a total noob at this so it's quite puzzling. I've tried a few times over the past few years but each time just gave up.

Can someone help me out with exact settings?

Xbox360 elite (not cracked, modded)

+ direct connect with cable to

D-link router/modem (connected to laptop via cable & wirelessly connected to 2 netbooks, wii, psp etc)
- model DSL-2640T (have to confirm)

I've tried all the tips from these forums and Google. Set Static IP/Dynamic IP. Set DNS, gateway. Set All auto. Nothing works.

And why can't it even get into the network? If I attach the cable to a previously unattached netbook is no problems.

I was wondering izzit very difficult to connect to XBOX Live? I got no problem at all to connect. Just plug in cable behind of my xbox, no configuration at all. FYI, I'm using Streamyx

port forward? try to disable your router firewall and connect to xbox live.. my router, even if i already set port forward sometimes got problem connecting to live.. so i just disable my router firewall and everything is good to go..

ohh last time i used this modem + xboxlive before..

but i connected via x360's wireless network adapter...

never tried using cable directly to the dlink dsl2640t...

now that ive moved house, i was given by streamyx Riger DB108wl but cannot connect to xboxlive using the WNA or cable (MTU prob)

so i bought an Aztech dsl605e, connected directly using ethernet cable, it worked..

Even connect to XBL, it still hardly to play smoothly with others region's player due to our streamyx :\

but midnight + early morning for me quite ok...

i playd cod5, halo3 and fifa09 BAP all in matchmaking around those times and im able to get medium/regular connection bars..

but in afternoon and night sometimes quite laggy....

midnight + morning is the ideal time but still has some lag if you ask me

semalam saya bawa xb360 pergi kawan rumah main boleh connect live tapi bawa balik rumah nak connect live tak boleh.. i test connection failed. tak dapat search ip. apa masalah. i pakai wireless adapter.

maybe ur friend changed the wep/wpa key in order to connect to his wireless network ... double check that or enter again ur own wep/wpa key.

so wat can i do?

So far never encounter any problem ... SG gamertag should be able to use the MS. Point for Asia, just need to have a complete billing address by enter the details above, the rest of the field can simply key in. I know someone have US console but with SG gamertag also no problem in redeem the MS. Point for Asia.

Silver cant play multiplayer mode but still can access to marketplace, chatting except party....
To get free trial, sign up using console.

If you mean your current gamertag, after 1 month pass, it will automatically expire and become silver membership.
If you want to become gold member again, just buy the subscription code and redeem it
