Yes there are fake gundam models. Price are slightly cheaper but and quality wise not as good as those made by BANDAI. Usually those fake models don't carry the 'BANDAI" label on the box.

bendi version of bandai gundams dont have any grade..
you no need untill "how on earth to know which is fake which is not"... its really easy to spot fake one by the quality of the box itself..and also the name of the gundams.. and unless you wanna buy those gundam for somebody else..you should know their names also what..right. |

Someone told me that in order to maintain quality, Bandai will discard their mold after a certain period. And this used mold is sold to some other cheaper company and they can produce/sell those models, but under different brand.
Thats why Bandai dont go apeshit on copyrights *corrent me if im wrong |

Yes.."Bendi" is d china Version of "Bandai" I bought once.. Gundam wing. And guess what.. The whole Head of the Gundam Head is in RED colour! then d joining cannot join properly.. d plastic has lots of unwanted edges..
Never trust any other pirated brand.. Unless u wanna do some "Custom work" then u may try using d cheaper Bendi..he he There is Perfect Grade EVangelion "bendi" version.. and lots of MG "Bendi Version" Last time d shop in Mid valley sold a lot of these. |

it depends on what u're wanting to do actually. the fake MG models r perfect for modding work, and also cutting up for dioramas, due to their cheaper cost. But of course lar, you'll need to be prepared to spend considerable time working on the thing. But for those where the interest is in the modelling work itself, and not the collection, then it dont really matter I guess

most likely gonna go pick up a Bendi MG the next time I see one just for the fun of it. Then I can post up my step by step instructions with pics on how I tortured myself in trying to get it look like a Bandai |

Bought 1 Bendi MKII.
compared to bandai: Pieces are sometimes not aligned when fit together. plastic is brittle and finish is rough, more flashes BUT I buy it as cheap spare parts. Like u have a 1/100 no grade and u can use the Bendi to turn it into more MG like. After painting, it should cover up the fact that it's a copycat below. |

last time i tot all the Bandai lookalike kits are Bendi and I am wrong.
GD kits is much much better than Bendi. Avoid bendi at all cost although u plan to make it a sacrificed kit. GD kits' plastic material is not as good as the original, but most of the parts are quite detailed. For the price compare to bandai, i would say GD kits good for those who have low budget. Some extra works might be needed like glueing and sanding. but that's modelling. One thing to remember, check thoroughly the parts before purchase!! The QC is not as good as Bandai for that price u paid!!! There are quite a numbers of local gundam modellers doing fantastic model from the GD kits. U won't know it's imitation kit if nobody told u!!! The shop on top of SushiKing is Miniature Hobby which moved from MidValley. Mostly military kits and some GD kits. |

the Section 14 one is Miniature Hobby
I always go up there lepak one The "someone" in the shop says will take in some Bandai in the future o ... but so far ... only got *ahem* model inside the shop la ... Because of those *ahem* Gundam, it make me hard to believe it's other model (military, PVC, and so on) is original as well Thoes who like to test their modeling skill can take those *ahem* one to test test, because CHEAP |

Well, just picked up a GD Freedom last week just to test out
Overall, the quality's indeed a lot better than the Bendi ones. Some flaws found on the inner frame, but should look decent after tidying and painting. Well, let's see how it looks a week from now after I'm done with it |

Well, I think is still acceptable with the pricing RM10. Although the quality is not that good, but I still can buy off that since is just RM10. Some more I just need some part from that kits for modification..... One more thing, I think we shouldnt call that pirated gundam for Bendi and GD, right? I remembered someone here explain on the fake brand coming out instead of Bandai ori brand. So, is it illegal? |

There are few "pirated" model kits in the market, as I can recall is there are 3, which are Bendi, without company label but just put 1/100 scale and another one is in Chinese words.
All "these" are Xtremely, very worst in quality where parts cannot fix together, damage parts, not long enough, very loose and all other kind of problem. If u are good in modding, there are still few problems The major problem is their plastic is SUPER THIN, can see through SUNLIGHT too If anyone want to find these, can go to SG Wang or some bookshops got sell, the price is less than 1/2 of the Bandai price |

Its kinda heart breaking to cut apart a Bandai model for the purpose of splattering it halfway across your scene.Hmm.. actually, those imitation brands r good for more than just that. For example, for those who r new to painting, and wanna give it a try, or for those who wanna experiment with modding. trying it out first on a non Bandai will be a good idea, that way u dun need to be so worried about messing it up, leaving u to be able to experiment better. |

My imitation models has been put through all sorts of hell, serving as a test model for my paint jobs |

Hi everybody..
What is modding? As i'm currently helping out my fren to put up his "model GD", so called a fake MG rx-93 nu gundam. he bought it more than 3 aredi loh.. oni finished left arm and the 1 pair of feet. putting it up is a real challenge, but it's far from fun coz u know u are working with imitations, and there's a few things i rili wanted to condemn: manual: cilaka, simply scan and remove all jap wordings (straight blank on the jap words), looked rili weird. photo quality is ci**i scan quality. where got quality? parts: whuaa.. all parts are there polycaps and plastic quality: it's not 1st grade plastic. u can forget the color but the "feel" is rili teruk, many parts aren't smooth and got extra uninvited plastic chunks coming out here and there.. many sanding and cutting extra "fat". finishing: not sure yet coz still doing it. just 80% of the internal frame. then will try to seal all the holes and crevices and prime the whole thing.. maybe will try to take some pic, see whether can tell if it's a real MG or a GD.. haha... |

I wonder, what about the Gundam Fix Figuration (GFF), do they have fake ones as well?
I heard they have what Japan Version and Asian Version, how do differentiate from the box/brand? Some shops dun allow me to open the box to examine the quality, so from the transparent window, I can't really determine the quality of the figures. Any one knows how to determine the version? Many thanx. p/s: I dun mind paying extra for the Japan version, coz I am collecting for good, what I am afraid is paid japanese version price, and got a asian version model... |

well i think ahem kits are made for pros or expert level of moding
for me i rather spend extra 50% of the cost for the original to avoid lot of mess and time then end up ahem kit which doesn't even last long or even break after full completed assemble .. well if ahem kits are good for spare part but other than tat is simply waste of money and time for it kits for beginer gunpla ^.^ This post has been edited by chriswoo: Sep 15 2007, 03:39 PM |

bro if u plan in a lower Quality of Gundam, i suggest u can try a brand name TT. t quality is better then bendi / GD or others.
Like my friend just bought a Noir - TT. t join is quite good & t color looks almost same with t real also. t price like 50% lower then ori & there is something that u could not image about it. Even t sticker look t same, 2 type of sticker, 1st - tear type. 2nd is strach type. Ori or not is up 2 what u want ! this is most important. If u planning to go for intrested i will suggest go for ori. If u just for fun & quality is not so important, then dont buy Ori - coz u will not keep it for any how rite ? ha ha ha Ori or Not ?? |

Hi all,
I bought a LWDragon 1/144 HG Red Astray a few weeks ago in KL... RM24 only. I built it yesterday (not yet finish) but the quality is surprisingly good! Looks good too... Just the legs and arms cannot snap together that well but if not, everything else is tight and nice... I also bought a HG 1/144 Akatsuki (gold colour) TT Hong Li for only RM28 (in PJ)... This one quality ok only... had to use glue on the arm... if not the Gold colour is really really good wei... Planning to buy Infinite Justice later (LWDragon probably...) Update u guys later! |

Did anyone here get the "Silver" version of the 1/100 Akatsuki ? I saw it at a shop at Berjaya Time Square. I'm not sure which company made it to but it looks quite unique and I'm wondering if it contain chrome parts or just plain grey plastic.

i think the accuracy of TT brand is okay compared to LW DRAGON,
bcoz sometimes LW DRAGON does not fit correctly or the color is incorrect(their impulse is purple).however,TT hongli sometimes did have a problem too(usually found in main character's mobile suit). here is my hg 1/144 strike noir by tt hongli ![]() and here is the broken part: ![]() AND why did my elder brother's mecha didnt have this problem? |

anyone seen any gundam 00 series tthongli?
i'm a supporter of tthongli (overall i'm still a bandai guy). some tthongli seriously look like geniune ones after topcoat. like my slaughter dagger and my ginn insurgent. if anyone wants tthongli but just for snapfit i suggest not getting ones with color red/light blue/green cuz the plastic of the mentioned colors look fake (but still better than other ahem brands). in fact some tthongli has that 'gloss injection' look haha...sorta like the original 1/100 gold frame amatu black gloss. |

selsonliew that is a good find. i think a reasonable price for tt hongli hg like strike freedom is around rm20 or less. hg tt hongli akatsuki is around rm26.90. it is too bad they are not widely available, and those few shops carrying them are selling very expensive and limited selection.

for me i'm always satisfied with the tthongli i bought...maybe cuz i close with the tauke and before i buy he allow me to open inside and check the content details.
if we don't count plastic quality tthongli almost 90% similar to bandai. even the engravings and details are very clear. silver akatsuki? that's cool. post the photos if anyone bought it haha. |

Well other than those qualities (clear, 90% similarly or clearer molding) I know nothing beats Bandai qualities plastic. Mostly I use those parts for testing or kit bash purpose only. But definitely those brands other than Bandai can’t keep it long due to it really easily to break overtime.

the TT PG wing is not airbrush before, it is totally the exact look after build out, the wire for the light is very hard, it is hard to bend it, suggest to replace with softer wire. THe price for TT PG WING is RM 320.

So, TT HG Destiny was RM25? Sounds pretty okay for me, but if it was >RM30, might have to consider...
The 'resonable' thing I stated is because I saw some Yuan prices of the TT HG Gundams can be quite... low, like 14-16 Yuan(for the normal ones). >_> But I might be wrong, since I can't read a speck of Chinese characters. |

Oh wellz, anyone knows any good place to buy 00 series ones? I'm kinda specifically looking for them. The most I could find are from the SEED Destiny series... which I might try to get Destiny soon. >> Already built your HG Destiny? How's it? Just now I went to a toy shop in 4th Mile area there(FYI, Kuching).
They got sell some TT Gundams and some LW Dragon(all FG SEED and some others, I think, about RM7.90-RM9.90). The TT one got the silver Akatsuki for RM99(2 boxes left), Strike Freedom Extra Finish for RM120(2 boxes left), some FG 00 Gundams(RM14.90 each) and so on. They also got some HGs, TT also, but only Strike Freedom, Infinite Justice and Destiny(which I bought for RM26). Is the silver Akatsuki and Strike Freedom Final Finish worth it and are they any good? Man, the TT Destiny a bit hard to build, especially when the stickers don't stick anymore... This post has been edited by rndm: Apr 13 2009, 10:13 PM |

Ah yes, it is 'Extra' Finish. My bad. To be very specific, it is this one here; http://item.taobao.com/auction/item_detail....jhtml?cm_cat=0 The silver Akatsuki and Strike Freedom Extra Finish are both 1/100 scale. ^^ |

GD not ok. newer model might look ok but the built gundam is very flimsy.. the feel of it is like some of the armor might just fall off..

Hi Guys...anyone seen TT Hongli HGUC Hazel or any variants? Just wanted the weapon packs and shield.
Also, I own a GD PG Strike. I got pretty cheap for RM200 at Miniature Hobby in Sec14 last time when they got a sale. The connections are ok and all but the only problems I encountered is that the hands and legs are falling apart when you stand it. It cannot do any decent action pose nor to stand still SO you might want to ask me what will I do with my bootleg PG? I'm painting it right now with custom colors then maybe fixed pose the legs. |

QUOTE(goku123 @ Apr 26 2009, 12:18 PM) thanks, i was also wondering im in australia and i wondered if anyone knew any places that would sell them. Hi goku123,I think we are trying to gather info about tt hongli gundams and where to get them in Malaysia. As for places to get them online, I think it will be very hard to come by unless you go to chinese websites and use google to translate into english. Then again, most of the sellers are in China and I am not sure if they can ship tt hongli outside of China. Doesn't hurt to contact them via email though. TO kick start your search, here is a website of a China seller: Main site: http://shop34014315.taobao.com/ TT PG gundam (only 1 available though): http://shop34014315.taobao.com/?catId=7111...Name=y&search=y TT MG gundam: http://shop34014315.taobao.com/?catId=3388...Name=y&search=y TT 1/100 NG gundam: http://shop34014315.taobao.com/?catId=3045...Name=y&search=y TT 1/144 HG OO gundam: http://shop34014315.taobao.com/?catId=4587...Name=y&search=y TT 1/144 HG Seed gundam: http://shop34014315.taobao.com/?catId=1274...Name=y&search=y I got a few tt hongli myself recently. QUOTE(selsonliew @ Apr 5 2009, 12:25 AM) Hi there... I'm quite new in this forum... I stumbled into this forum when I was googling for TT Hong Li Gundams... I used to collect Bandai Gundam back in the 90's starting with Gundam Wing... But now, since I've been collecting Transformers' toys, collecting Bandai Gundams could be such a burden to my pocket... So, I decided to buy TT Hong Li's. 50% cheaper and 90% same quality...I already have a few of the fake Gundams in my possession: TT Exia (90% like the original), TT Murasame (same as Exia), LWDragon Vayeate (Love the glossy effect that all the other Bandai Wing doesn't have) and GD PG Wing Zero Custom (Not that perfect but, easily my favourite model ever...) While browsing this thread, I stumbled upon selsonliew's comment... I dunno if the PG Wing that I bought is the same one that you mentioned... It has blue box overall rite? The one that I bought is GD PG Wing Zero Custom 1/100 scale... Here's some of the pics... ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't have any complaints for this model... It's hard to find (Pearl coating, man... this one is actually the limited edition one...), not that hard to assemble (a few super glue here and there... minor flaw) and you get such a beautiful figure... Worth the money.... I dunno how much the Bandai one cost... But spending RM98 for such quality is quite worth it... P/S: Assembling this sucker can post a real challenge to novice modeller... The plastic could easily break... So, proceed with extra cautious, everybody... Know your skills before buying any one of the TT Hong Li gunpla.. I'm gonna go to megamall tomorrow to get either 1/100 or 1/144 Akatsuki (whichever available)... |

QUOTE(yojimbo512 @ May 3 2009, 12:02 PM) Yes, they do come withstickers and decals... I bought TT Hong li's Murasame Gundam and it comes with 2 sorts of decals and stickers... One which is transparent and the other one is the stickers that sticks to the body...Just like the original...I didn't buy the akatsuki coz the price is quite expensive (RM 108 for 1/100)... So I bought TT's Gundam Destiny and LWDragon's Astray Blue Frame (both 1/144) for only RM50 for both... Just completed Blue Frame (quality not so nice.... feels like cheap plastic but the joints are all intact and good... So... Worth the price... Only RM19.90 at Megamall Penang).. Haven't have the time to finsh up Gundam Destiny... I'll post of all my fake Gundams later when I have the time... |

And there are a lot of Strike Freedom sold there... Can't remember the brand but from my observation, I think they have it in all grades and scales. I nearly bought 1/100 Strike Freedom last week. The price is RM59 if I'm not mistaken... Legend Gundam is sold at 39.90 (after discount) |

Hey guys, does anyone know a good place to buy MG or any 1/100 bootlegs in Kuching? The shop in the Everise 4th Mile only got the TT HGs and barely any 1/100 scales(as far as I can see). I'm specifically looking for some 00 series ones and maybe some other MGs as well.

Well, all the price tags are at RM29.90(not that great of a price IMO) for the HGs, but you can ask a bit lower to at most RM26. I already snap fitted the Throne Eins, which was not so bad, but a bit of scratching-cutting needed to make some parts go in. ^^;

Just to ask another question. What are the range of prices you all see when you shop for the bootlegs?
Such as the HG is normally around RM26++ around here(TT). For the NG 1/100, I've seen Destiny for as low as RM49.90(Bendi I think) and can go as high as RM69.90 for Kyrios(TT). I find these prices ill-satisfactory, way too high for bootlegs of that grade. >_> |

Maybe you bought the "Bendi" or "LWDragon" ones.. As far as I know, most of the TT Hong Li brands have similar quality with Bandai... The only flaw is the stickers... The joints are great and not loose at all (I haven't bought one with loose joints so far) Even if the joints are loose, it still can be fixed... Just put some super glue on the joints and let it dry... P/S: Anyone who's interested in buying TT Hong Li's 1/60 Perfect Grade Gundam Wing 0 Custom or MG Gundam Unikorn, head to Megamall Penang... The shop on the ground floor (near HK Video) has all these and much more... |

coz those brand of gundam re mass produced ,and they dun have any value~ it doenst like bandai gundam~ the production of type of gundam re limited and will stop after a period of time. the gundam 's value will increase~ as the time increase TT is juz a copy cat~ it copy wat exactly the same frm bandai even the instuction books also juz like 'photocopy' the different is TT translate the jp words to mandarin well~ except bandai~ kotobukiya also not bad~ This post has been edited by xelnaga1987: May 31 2009, 06:16 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

xelnaga1987, why are u talking about ori gundam? Yes, we know the quality is superior to the TTs, LWDragon...
but the main thing about this topic is the thrill in finding fake gundams which are 1/2 the price of the bandai ones but still have near good quality... Economic times are not good so fake gundams are becoming attractive... myself? I try to buy real ones when got good bargain (like at Litt Tak warehouse sale... manage to buy 2 limited gunpla expo gundams for RM80 only...) anyway, that's just my view. I hunt fake gundams because its cool! thanks! |

One of the main reasons for this topic is to share where we can find fake gundams.... In previous few posts, i think ppl have mentioned that in Penang, there are shops that sell TT Hongli gundams...
In KL, Berjaya Times Square got TTs and GD/GHD (I haven't tried but suppose to be bad quality)... I think you should try toy shops that sell cheap/pirated toys (got one in Tesco Ampang.. a toy stall)... some have mentioned bookshops in small towns... Hope that helps? |

While I was in Miri, I was able to find some more TT HG Gundams at a shop in eMart. From what I can tell, the smaller HGs(whereby the original costs about 1200 Yen and below) costs about RM19. Pretty reasonable. Though, the bigger HGs still reach about RM29 there.
They also have NG 1/100 Model GD Exia, Dynames and Force Impulse + Sword Silhouette for RM55.90, RM59.90 and RM89.90 respectively. Not so worth it to me, IMO. Plus, there was an old MG Model GD Mk II(Titans) for about RM90. Still not worth it IMO. I'm still wondering if it is possible to find NG 1/100 for about RM40. =/ This post has been edited by rndm: Jun 2 2009, 10:11 PM |

The Shin Musha Gundam looks quite nice one. ^^
How much was it? Since you said they were overpriced? Also, here's a little review on the TT Hongli HG Union Flag I recently got. http://rndmstuff.blogspot.com/2009/06/tt-h...lag-review.html This post has been edited by rndm: Jun 12 2009, 01:15 PM |

Hello I am a newbie in this forum, just read the information in forum, I sincerely appreaiate to everyone hardwork and info to get a cheap but accepted quality model, here I would like to share some info with you all. I live in Ipoh but now working in Sabah area but I have been looking for the model quite some times, I able to get some info that
Price - Most TT, LWDragon and GHD 1/144 either Seed series or 00 series price around rm23-26 see wheather got discount or not.... - And for 1/100 is price vary for different product. In my experience I got a few pirated version range from different size and product. My GHD 1/100 HG Destiny and HG Destiny + stand version both at RM68 and RM70. While my 1/100 HG Strike Freedom is brand "original" (in chinese, if you understand what I mean..) cause me RM45 (here all bought in Ipoh area) - And 00 series for TT brand both 1/144 and 1/100 sold in Ipoh as well but it is since Feb 09 because I didn't back yet... in Sabah I saw as well 1/100 HG TT brand is about RM60-70 for 00 series - Sabah I saw TT brand MG 1/100 Destiny, strike freedom extra finish, HG 1/100 Akasuki gold and silver all at RM100 similiar to Ipoh and MG Strike Noir, Strike + IWSP at around RM83, MG for strike freedom and Destiny full burst is RM120 - I bought a TT brand MG strike freedom extra finish (1st time) Quality - Didn't play some many original before except just once, so far TT is most satisfaction, my newsest MG strike freedom is good example, although internal is not all gold shinning like bandai but it stick firmly with other part and still the hand, joint TT still provide extra part for shinning gold part! And its move is hard like ori - brand "Original" (chinese translate) offer fair quality since part also stick firmly but some colour part is just some painting onto it... so worse..... - brand LWD is fair, some part may not firm well but still soso quality - brand GHD... welll you all might experience it before, the plastic quality is not as good as other pirated brand and not so detail and easily broken... but still can fix it worth for a cheap price as well This is the experince I had, hope to see you all share up the info... cheers! |

I have bought a TT NG 1/100 Force Impulse last few month. The joint is tight, everything is good. Only the plastic is too glossy looking compare to an original bandai one. So looks kinda fake. But can overcome by adding a layer of matte topcoat.

Anyway, I have been buying fake gundams for a few years (price factor, also not serious, just for fun). Started with GD, but have switched to TT Hong Li. I always get my supply from toy shops at Jalan Raja Laut and Lrg Haji Taib 1 and 2. 1st shop along the main road is at pedestrian crossing, same row with CIMB. 2nd shop is corner shop 2 rows behind CIMB. 3rd one, 4 rows of shops almost directly behind the 1st shop (but I think it got burned last week). The stock varies, depending on their orders. Sometimes, 2 - 3 months, no new stocks 1st and 3rd shop, if you buy 6 or more, and can be different type - depends on hard you can bargain (also, if you buy a lot, say > RM150). 2nd shop, must buy 3 of each type, min 6 types (not negotiable, though I have seen them selling single ones at discounted price to regulars - traders, I think). I usually buy from the 1st and 3rd shop - easier to bargain. Also, the staff usually lets you check out the contents first. Hope this helps. |

Well it IS supposed to be like less than RM50 if you use direct conversion from Yuan to Ringgit. However, I have NEVER seen such prices. I wonder why is that so(tax or postage maybe?). The best price ratio you can get is half of the original to 1/3 of the original at most from my observations. =/
Well, if you can find a shop as reasonable as that in M'sia, please do tell us. XD |

I haven't posted here before, but I stumbled onto this topic and I thought I could help many people out. There is a new online store that is pretty new by the name of Walter Hobby Store.
http://walterhobby.com/store/ It has a alot of TT Hongli and GHD model kits (though I wouldn't recommend the GHD brands). I've already purchased the 1/100 Silver Akatsuki for $26USD and the 1/100 MG Strike Freedom Full Burst Mode for $27USD. I love them both and they are extremely close to Bandai quality. I've actually done video reviews of both kits to help people out. I also compared both the Bandai and TT Hongli Stirke Freedom to show the differences. Here's a link to my channel if anyone wants to find out about the kits. http://www.youtube.com/user/Prime92 |

Don't forget there's two forms of shipping at that store. Sure it takes 30 to 50 days to get to you, but I think it's work it. $150 worth of TT Hongli models for $28 shipping is good to me.

Yo guys.
I also used to buy LWDragon NG 1/100 Astray Blue Frame 2nd L. Its kindda hard to fix it coz what I realise that Bandai plastic is a bit smooth and soft compare to hard plastic of LWDragon(fake). THen I bought TT Hong Li 1/100 Strike Freedom. And guess what, after finish snap joint, IT cannot stand at all.It keep fall off. So I kindda shock when you guys said TT Hongli is nicer due to my experience.Anyway, I saw one shop at IOI Mall, Puchong got selling TT Hongli gundam. The price is 1/2 then original price. Let say Bandai NG 1/100 Exia cost rm80, TT Hongli there only rm39.90(I guess). Not sure what the shop name is but its on top floor (got a lot of gashapon displayed). And here is my question. Where can I get MG TT Hongli for Selangor(Puchong, Subang, PJ area)?? Coz till this days, I only saw HG and NG fake gundam.Saw PG ones but no MG. Got idea where can get it guys? |

All from TT Hongli 00 HG is ~RM20++ each, BB Sangokuden ~RM10++ Just to let everyone know. |

QUOTE(Ayam-man @ Jun 21 2009, 02:50 AM) I have bought a Bandai and a TT Hongli Cao Cao. Both looks almost the same. Almost 90%. The only problem is the TT Hongli one is too glossy. Other than that, everything is ok. TT Hongli one even give you a display stand. |

The price is around RM 280++ and can be found in Kotaraya Ground floor, beside 7-11. |

QUOTE(Prime92 @ Jun 16 2009, 09:26 AM) I haven't posted here before, but I stumbled onto this topic and I thought I could help many people out. There is a new online store that is pretty new by the name of Walter Hobby Store. Whoaaa!!! I'm your fan, man... Thanks for enlighten me to buy Kyrios... I bought the 1/100 one and it can also be transformed into Starscream's style... Kudos!!!http://walterhobby.com/store/ It has a alot of TT Hongli and GHD model kits (though I wouldn't recommend the GHD brands).

QUOTE(cool_osiris @ Jun 18 2009, 07:08 PM) I just been to the 1st shop he said. If you intend to buy, bargain (more details in my post on 14/6/09). All from TT Hongli 00 HG is ~RM20++ each, BB Sangokuden ~RM10++ Just to let everyone know. They will always ask you to buy 3 each X 6 models (i.e. total 18 pieces) at first. Just bargain. The shop will usually sell you 6 items (different models) at 40 to 50% off. I get my HGs at between RM10 to RM14 (always 6 models at one go) and a 1/100 silver Akatsuki at RM40. Recently got 6 BB Sangokuden (with horse, 305H, 315H etc. Sorry, don't know chinese) at RM14 each. If you want to get 1/100 MG, buy a few BBs / HGs as well, just to get the discount. On the other hand, the 2nd shop (refer my earlier post for location) usually has more stocks. But they insist on 3 each x 6 models. If you can get some friends together, it may be worthwhile to check them out. |

QUOTE(Kelrys @ Jun 23 2009, 11:36 PM) I don't really remember the name but I think it is "Siong Lee" according to the price tag. XPIt shouldn't be very hard to find though, the shop seems to have the most China toys hanging and on the shelves. To find the pirated Gundam in that shop, you'll have to go in. The Gundams are at the rear side of one of the shelves, very close to the cashier. ^^ This post has been edited by rndm: Jun 24 2009, 07:58 PM |

Week ago, I bought this at Pasar while I follow my parents there.
![]() It quality is quite ok just the sticker is a bit problem .. you will need to cut it urself. But I paint it myself instead of using it sticker It cost me RM28 for it. I check out the Bandai version of this in LYN, it sell about RM45-50. Its not half price mean I buy expensive already? But Its look really good for me .. ![]() This post has been edited by onlyfour: Jun 25 2009, 10:24 PM |

RM30 still a bit expensive though. ^^
I wish I'm near Jalan Raja Laut as it seems the prices are very reasonable. I sure don't mind buying 6 at one go if the prices are as that guy said. Anyways, I just typed out my review on the TT Exia tonight though not as extensive as the review done on the TT Tieren Ground Type by lifesignx. ^^; ![]() http://rndmstuff.blogspot.com/2009/06/tt-h...-1144-exia.html So, is there any other place like the one at Jalan Raja Laut which I hope is near to Kuching? =P This post has been edited by rndm: Jun 25 2009, 11:51 PM |

But, if not wrong, they only give 10% discount for purchases above RM50 and 20% discount for above RM200. I still prefer Jiayang at Jln Raja Laut (50% discount if buy 6). But, the problem is since they are wholesalers, the stocks are unpredictable. Further, they hardly restock the same models. So unless you follow up with them, you will miss out. I have been waiting for 3 weeks for their new stocks (supposed to come last week), but still no news yet. Hoping that the new stocks will arrive next week (supposed to have some MGs). Will update once surveyed. |

So far, from what I gather (from guys at the shops), the best brand is still TT (as compared to GD, LWD and Gho). I myself tried GD before - lousy colour and some parts don't fit.
RNDM - you buy from the Chinese products shops also, right ? Are they wholesalers too ? Why not try asking for discount for bulk purchases ? That's what I first did at the 3 shops at Jln Raja Laut. I saw some ppl buying in bulk and just asked. But even now, sometimes they only give 20% off (must be bad mood), so I just walk off. |

Stupid friggin GHD. I will never touch another one of those. I didn't even know I was getting knock offs when I bought them 4 or 5 years ago off Ebay. GHD made me think that the Destiny line had gone to crap in the 1/100 scale after I built the Destiny, Strike Freedom and Impulse. Now I know better, but it kept me from buying 1/100 Destiny models for years.

Just sharing my 5 cents worth of opinion on this "pirated" Gundam.
- Packaging is decent and reasonably good. nothing that could damage the parts inside. It's probably due to the rough handling because it's a china product that they didn't take more care to it. - No there were no broken or damaged parts inside when I got it. Only some parts have partially fallen off the tree but not damaged. - Yes, metal parts, chrome parts, LEDs and light component units are included. - Yes, there are parts that are slightly molded out of shape but mostly are the poly caps. There are 3 types of plastic being used. the soft poly caps that are usually molded out of shape but not too badly that is cause any major defects to the model. the medium plastic mostly used for the white armor parts gets slightly extra molded pieces that you need to cut off and the hard plastic for the inner frame where it has the lest defects of the previous 2. - No it's not that hard to build especially for those with amateur experience in building model kits. - Yes there are some parts where you will require extra work to get it to fit. - Join movements can be a little too tight because the poly caps are not molded perfect. just need to be careful while moving it. Final Verdict. For having to pay RM250 for this figure compared to RM700 or more for an actual Bandai kit. I MUST say that it was very WELL WORTH it. it's not perfect and not extremely bad. it holds together very well and will make outstanding figure for display. (By saying this I'm not discouraging ppl from buying Original Bandai Kits. PLEASE buy ori as we need ppl to pay for Bandai's RND to make new kits To read my full review click HERE. If there is anyone out there that has a confirm place where I can get my hands on the TT HongLi PG Wing Custom. PLEASE DO LET ME KNOW. ^Erm, the original PG Strike can be bought for RM5XX at certain places like Graffiti Toys. RM250 is a bit high for me IMO for a bootleg.
PS: Hey, liewpk, Jalan Raja Laut area got sell any PGs also? If got, what's the price range? >.> This post has been edited by rndm: Aug 4 2009, 03:56 PM |

Well, for RM5XX can probably built the strike twice for GHD and can probably use one for custom battle damage. one display at home and one in office. XD

It's kinda overpriced laaa... RM350 kot... I know where is pacific coz my home town is in BM. Too bad I'm in KL now. I think 350 still ok since the ori is about double the price. I'm not sure how low these bootlegs can go but considering the price of the MGs are not even 50% of the ori price. I've no regrets getting the GHD Strike and I hope that TT Hong Li will do a better job on the molding defects. |

^I dunno, paying RM350 is too high since the price of the PG Wing is about the same as PG Strike. FYI, got someone in the Trade Zone selling ori PG Wing for RM480.

RNDM : So far, haven't seen any PG at Jln Raja Laut.
Last month, saw a TT Strike Noir Omni Fighter at RM78 (before discount). But that was at Toy Box (buy 3 each of 6 models = 18 boxes, to get 50% discount). They normally have the best 1/100 and MG selection. Most priced at around RM100. COOL_OSIRIS : Did you manage to get the Strike Noir at Toy Box ? For how much ? |

Hey guys,
I know this has probably been stated or asked many times, but I am a bit confused: Where can I get the TTHongLi Gundam kits ? I know the first shop is at Jalan raja laut, but from what I read, there are two more shops as well ? Which shop is the best for me ? Me and my friend wants to buy several of those grunt suits and I read someone here say bulk 8 pieces for RM10.50 per piece ? What are the terms or how to bargain for getting good prices like RM10.50 per piece ? Thanks! This post has been edited by Helldiver: Aug 5 2009, 09:43 PM |

@liewpk: That's unfortunate. If they sell PGs, especially with their amazing prices, I think we can get em' for less than RM200. o.o
At any rate, anyone that wants to know about the TT Hongli HG 1/144 Dynames can take a peek here. =) ![]() Pretty impressed with it. ^^ |

QUOTE(Helldiver @ Aug 5 2009, 09:34 PM) Hey guys, There are 3 shops which i know of at Jln Raja Laut. They sell all kinds of toys from China.I know this has probably been stated or asked many times, but I am a bit confused: Where can I get the TTHongLi Gundam kits ? I know the first shop is at Jalan raja laut, but from what I read, there are two more shops as well ? Which shop is the best for me ? Me and my friend wants to buy several of those grunt suits and I read someone here say bulk 8 pieces for RM10.50 per piece ? What are the terms or how to bargain for getting good prices like RM10.50 per piece ? Thanks! 1st shop (didn't get name) (Google map 3.16407,101.696266) : near CIMB & pedestrian crossing @ trafic light. Stocks BB, HG and a few 1/100 and MG. Buy 6, get 50% discount. But, sometimes only give 20% and need to bargain. Quote cool_osiris 23/6/09 "There have 1/144 HG OO (Exia, Dynames, Kyrios, Nadleeh, Virtue, Union Flag, Overflag, Throne Eins, Throne Zwei, Throne Drei, Graham's Union Flag and Tieren Ground), BB Sangokuden (Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Sima Yi, Cao Cao, Sun Quan, Xiahou Dun, Xiahou En, Lu Bu, Zhao Yun and Zhang Liao) and 1/100 MG Strike + IWSP. All from TT Hongli 00 HG is ~RM20++ each, BB Sangokuden ~RM10++" 2nd shop (Toybox) (Google map 3.16448,101.696969) : Stocks BB, HG and around 6 1/100 or MG each time. Best selection so far. Buy 3 each of 6 models = 18 pieces, get 50% discount (last I asked a few months back, try asking again). If you have friends to share out, recommend this shop. Saw TT Strike Noir Omni Fighter at RM78. 3rd shop (Jia Yang) (Google map 3.16387,101.697478) : Stocks HG and a few 1/100 and MG. Last month only about 8 HG models, Dynames, Nadleeh, BuCue Hound, Virtue, Kyrios and Throne Eins. New stocks supposed to come in, but delayed a few weeks already. Buy 6, get 50% discount, always. Talk to the Malay girl or the Chinese lady at counter. Also, each shop have different retail prices, so I recommend you go to all 3 before you decide and start bargaining. Major problem with shopping at these shops is they always bring in limited models each time and hardly ever restock same models. Further, they only order new ones once the old models are almost sold out. So, if any of you guys go, pls update us on the available models. |

Thank you so much, liewpk! You cleared everything up for me
ToyBox seems like the best selection... But 18 pieces which includes three pieces of a same model lol. All 50% discount is nice Jia Yang seems the best with always 50%, unfortunately for their limited stock. I will check out the shops and let you guys know what they have when I do. Thanks again. |

Been following this thread for awhile... makes me wanna come back to gundam modelling world.
After going thru the thread, most of you will say... 1. TT Hongli is the best pirated brand for Gundam 2. 3rd shop at jalan raja laut would be the cheapest (given powerful bargain skill) correct me if i'm wrong... maybe i'll go have a look at the 3 shops in jalan raja laut this weekend |

Whats the 2 new HG of the new brand? 00 Season 2 Series? Btw I Had Checked at Googles The New Brand with 4 Chinese Word is TT Hongli New Name [/quote] Thanks for the info. Anyway, the packaging quality seems to have dropped a bit. Also, the Seed series used to come with display stand, but the recent 00 series doesn't. The 2 are AEU Enact custom and AEU Enact Demo color (saw it at http://shop33428970.taobao.com) |

DrXavier, wrong forum; pirated/fake Gundam Model.
Guys, I bought a TTHL Shiranui Akatsuki today (HG) and I have to say it looks damn good. The chrome is kinda thick which prevents lots of the pegs unable to be pegged in properly. Now its just floating in my shelf with its DRAGOONs deployed and it'll stay like that forever. I can't recommend this to anyone at all... It'll just make a nice display piece, kinda hard to pose with the parts falling off and so. Best of all: OVER 9000 TIMES CHEAPER THAN BANDAI! :woohoo: |

But, you will still get at least 20% off. However, if you buy above RM100 (after discount), they may consider the 50% discount. E.g. buy 2 MGs (around RM100 each) and bargain like crazy. Just to inform that the new stocks for Jia Yang has just arrived.
W Fighter Zero Custom - $155 (all prices are after discount) Strike Freedom MG Full Burst Mode - $78 HG - Throne Zwei and Drei, Tieren Taozi, Space Commander and Space - $10.50 Old HG stocks - Kyrios, Dynames, Virtue, Nadleeh, Throne Eins, BuCue, Oowashi (Gold) - $10.50 Spoken to the boss. He said that the wholesale prices above (50% off) are given to me as a regular. Further, I only need to buy 6 things (anything in his shop, today I bought 5 gundams and 2 solar "swaying" dolls to meet quota). However, if you guys go there, same policy will still apply. Just let him (Chinese man) or the Chinese lady at the cashier counter know that you are introduced to his shop through the internet forum. FYI, Jia Yang is open from Mon - Sat until 7 pm. He also mentioned that some bigger models (assume MG, 1/100) will be coming in next shipment. I'll update you all. |

Sorry. just checked taobao.com for TT unicorn + gaitling. i was mistaken. the unicorn at toybox - its packaging is the normal unicorn, but with the spec sheet. @lifesignx any idea what model of unicorn at toybox ? Fuyang had the normal unicorn, but packaging without spec sheet. |

relooked at the bill yesterday. For the Strike Freedom MG Full Burst Mode, Jia Yang actually charged me only $68 (verbally was told $78). Better still. |

8/10 marks, but cost at least 75% cheaper than actual brand. OK trade off. Agree with you, sticker on the HGs really @ myky Dguy is also looking for SFFBM and Unicorn (with gaitling). Maybe you can arrange with him. But so far, no one has seen the Unicorn model yet. I'm looking for Exia trans-am (was told Fu Yang selling $38, but must buy 3X6 models. Also has Exia avalanche). |

If you are in KL / nearby, can join with myky44, dguy and perfect10. So far, the Chow Kit shops' price are the lowest. Only problem is the uncertain stocks and their discount policy (Fu Yang sometimes need to buy 12 same items, sometimes 3x6 items etc). |

Personally I have already encountered bad experience in fu yang twice already. They are very strict in giving out discounts and if you do not get their set quota dont expect any worth while discounts given out.
But I do agree with liewpk on them having the most variety of stocks. I can confirm that their stocks are fast moving and might be sold out in 2-4 days. just went to Jia yang.
New stock - MG Strike Noir Omni ($80), RX 93-2 Hi-V Fighter (RM136), Unicorn RX05 - without gaitling gun (forgot to check price). still have PG Wings ($310) and Strike Full Burst ($136). Above prices before discount. Mention you know about them from internet forum and buy 6 items to get 50% off. They will be closed from Sun to Tue. Reopen Wed. 10am - 7pm. Also, scouted out Fuyang. Shin Musha, Exia Avalanche, Exia Trans Am, Unicorn 005B (with gaitling), Destiny Extreme Burst, Akatsuki gold, GN arms D (besides some HGs). Retail prices around $150. Wholesale $70 to $90 (about 30 - 40% discount). After negotiate buy 3x6, she asked whether doing business. When told her for myself, did not want to sell anymore. Insist must be business and register with shop Last week, some other forumer bought 3x6 models also. Managed to get discount. @myky44, @dguy when are you guys going ? May join in. U r always reliable to provide good updates on stock Even after discount at Fu Yang, I think the prices are still a little high though only 30%-40%. I have already given up on Fu Yang, too much hassle. |

Went for lunch nearby with my colleagues.
Fu Yang now like Toy Box, just go there to check out the stocks. But both their stocks also really good, whereas Jia Yang very slow. Was surprised to see new stocks at Jia Yang today, though all those were already available at Fu Yang and Toy Box 2 months ago. |

Those prices are standard if you purchase from shops. In fact, some of those prices are cheaper than the quoted price from Jia Yang. Are the prices after discount (since you bought so many, at least should get 10 - 20% off) ? When we buy from Jia Yang, we do get 50% off, but the hassles are :- 1. must buy at least 6 items (since I go quite often, I have got most of the models, so sometimes, just to meet quota, have to buy other toys, and sometimes miss out on the model when it is sold out before I can collect 6 models to buy) 2. slow / irregular stocks - don't know when new stocks will come in. Sometimes, 1 , 2 months no new stocks. Sometimes, 2 weeks already have new stocks. Since they hardly ever order the same model again, you may not get what you want. That's why we depend on the guys here to update whenever they go over to Jia Yang. I just updated Jia Yang's stocks list a few days ago. You may want to check them out when you come to KL, but be prepared to walk away empty handed. |

poslaju (from their website) 2.5kg $16, every 0.5kg $2. somemore +10%+10%+5%. Most convenient place for me is around Bkt Bintang. The big problem is still available stocks. What they have may not be what you want. Any ideas ? Maybe standing orders ? |

juz bac from jalan raja laut and lorong haji taib, i found like 3 to 4 shops selling bootlegs gundam, most of them selling tt silver akatsuki, tt mg unicorn + a giant gatling gun, tt mg hi-nu and others are mostly tt hg 00 gundam and xiaobailong brand.... i think i saw a shop selling PG wing zero custom, forgot which brand though.
now, the problem is that i can't seems to find any tt mg 1/100 strike freedom from those shops T_T |

But TT retail price is about 60% of Bandai price. Discount maybe 10 - 20%.The Chow Kit shops only stocks 3 to 5 MG models each time. They hardly reorder same models, so stocks always changing. I go there to get Jia Yang's 50% discount (must buy 6 items). |

Try to post in the correct thread as this one is for bootleg/knockoff model kits. Guys check out the TT Hongli HG Blaze Zaku Phantom (Dearka Elsman) Assembly Video: http://loveray.blogspot.com/2009/10/tt-hon...tom-dearka.html Appreciate it if some good soul can update on the current available stock at the regular shops This post has been edited by lifesignx: Oct 2 2009, 08:16 AM |

Went on Monday. Same old stock - MG Strike Noir Omni, RX 93-2 Hi-V Fighter, Unicorn RX05 - without gaitling gun, PG Wings (Strike FBM sold out). Same old HGs also. Stocks moving really slow, unlike Fu Yang
The lady said no new stocks expected anytime soon. Will probably call her again in the next 2 weeks. Didn't check out Fu Yang or Toybox, especially after the last bad experience. See only, cannot buy - bad for my mood |

Just went to Jiayang today. I got a shock for my life when the older lady at the counter say 50% discount if 6 different boxes or more does not apply and said need to be 6 boxes of same type. I told her last time was not like this and I bought from the shop before. I suspect that is the boss' wife. Not the daughter. Bad experience and make me no mood today. |

Just spoken to the lady. Her staff and her couldn't recognise you.
Pls tell her introduced by me - their regular gundam purchaser (through internet forum). Discount still applies, but not publicised (pls understand they are wholesalers and standard policy, even for bulk purchasers, is buy 6 of each type). |

@serikofarlim: do they have PG wing zero, mg hi-v and mg unicorn+gatling gun (all tt brand)?
if they really do, yup, i want the google earth map (or google map). or, can can you survey it for me please, huhu? i just dun wanna go there and find out that they are out of stock, my friend Added on October 30, 2009, 3:06 ami just reread the whole posts and i can say that: pg wing zero - rm310-350 (but can get $155 all prices are after discount at jia yang) hi-v- rm120-150 unicorn + gatling gun - rm94 (at toy box, no discount) so, the total cost would be rm524-595 but if you get pg wing for rm155, then the total cost would be rm400. the total cost is almost the same as buying online and no need to wait whether there is stock at the shop or not. plus, i live in sg petani and it is hard to go to kl to get such a sweet price if the price in penang is so cheap and they got stock, then i would definitely go to penang. if any1 know if they got PG wing, unicon + gatling, and mg hi-nu (all TT, dun want GHD) please do tell me including the price. thnx in advance This post has been edited by chekdet: Oct 30 2009, 03:06 AM |

@ chekdet
I have compared the prices quoted at walterhobby.com with the prices I paid at Jia Yang. It is about the same as the normal retail prices you would get from any shop, except for the PG Wings. FYI, retail prices at KL - HG $20 to $24, MG $80 to $150. I would advise that you buy in Penang. Can check first with seikofarlim, C.P.U. or chriswoo on the available stocks and prices before going over. If you want to buy online, why not try taobao.com. The price is roughly the same with Jia Yang's (after discount). There's someone (@ glitters) over at LYN Streetmart arranging for shipping from China - he charges 10% service fee. I personally haven't tried, but it looks interesting. Anyway, the PG Wings at Jia Yang is sold out. And the Unicorn + Gaitling should cost around $75 - after discount (the one at Toybox was the normal unicorn, but the box had the spec sheet printed on it). |

price is reasonable. Most shops in Kl do offer discounts (up to 20%) if you purchase more. Why don't you try asking from your shop ? Anyone else from KK ? Maybe, can buy together with casdelux and get discount. PG Wings (TT) retail was $310 at Jia Yang. |

Jia Yang still gives discount if you buy 6 items or more. Tell the chinese lady at cashier introduced by me through internet forum. Pls note their usual policy is 6 of EACH item, so if there are other buyers around, keep it quiet, OK
They don't deliver. They're wholesaler, buyers mostly toy shop bosses / "pasar malam" traders. I've been buying from them since they started a few years back, that's why still entertain and give discount. However, stocks are limited, and new stocks around every 2 months. They don't re-order same models. Keep reading this thread for updates on stocks. For more selection, you can try Fu Yang (Google map 3.16407,101.696266). Discount maybe 10 - 20%, but better selection. |

@liewpk Seeing how jiayang restocks, cannot be picky must depend on what is available:) The TT GG sinanju china selling price is about 120 yuan. But like all things we cannot do direct conversion and expect it to be sold at that price in Malaysia. |

so far, based on my purchases, Jia Yang price after discount still reasonable if you factor in the shipping cost from China, not to mention the risk. No point guessing the sinanju price then, we just have to wait and see.
Went to Pudu Plaza just now. Lots of MG models (both TT and GHD), but price a bit steep and higher than Jia Yang retail. They offer 10% discount if purchase more than $50 and 20% if more than $300. Saw the TT nest 01 to 06, $28 each. TT bracket $20. Update -Jia Yang restocked PG wings $310 retail and Strike FBM $136 retail. a few boxes left. HG - new model 1/144 Strike Freedom This post has been edited by liewpk: Nov 12 2009, 09:21 PM |

Cant wait for the MG Sinanju to dock on our shore! PG WZC here cost $50, Unicorn with Gatling plus action base $26. Im expecting Sinanju will have a retail price of $24 here in Manila.

Hi Guys,
I am in Clark Phillipines at the moment. Is the price for a TT Hongli Gundam Hi-V & TT Hongli Gundam Unicorn With Gatling guns for 1500peso(RM111) each. Is the price reasonable? And by the way, is the TT Hongli PG Wing for 3000peso(RM222) ok? They are selling The Bandai 1/100 NG Wing Gundam Zero here for 1299peso(RM97) only. Should I get the TT Wing or the Bandai 1/100 Wing? |

TT's Avalanche Exia... IMO, the Bao bao one is better than the original... I read a few comments on the web saying that the original Avalanche has issue... The legs seem to easily spread and its hard to create dynamic poses... TT's Avalanche legs / crouch are much sturdier.. Check it out!!!
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I got this after watching Prime92's review on Youtube... Well, Like what he said in the review be careful on the transparents parts coz they WILL NOT fit correctly... Some modification must be done... Mine was broken into two... had to superglued it... But, the overall result is very satisfying... This post has been edited by Achol: Nov 19 2009, 06:18 PM |

TT Hongli Hi-Nu ? The quality is SUPERB.
In fact, I think ALL (if not most) TTHongLi/TallTall MG's are very nice. Can compare to Bandai edi. |
