Bro, if you want to use the C1200 as a print server and disk storage, I would recommend you getting another router as the C1200 only supports USB2.0. If that doesn’t matter, I suggest you get the TP-Link C7 v4 as it has two USB2.0 port rather than only one.

It might not work as the extra USB ports will need more voltage than the router can provide and the CPU of the router might not be strong enough as well, ergo it won’t work, but you can try.

But, the USB port on the C1200 is only 2.0, so attaching a USB3.0 to the port wont make it 3.0, only 2.0, so your disk transfer will be slow.

I don't care slow speed transfer, as long as can extend USB ports. icon_question.gif

No worry, my this USB Port has extra power plug (DC 5V) for more juices... brows.gif

You can try then, and hope that the CPU of the router can take it. Good luck.

Should be no problem with external power but really depends on TPLink's firmware. On my Mikrotik router, I use a powered USB hub to connect a USB GPS, thumbdrive and a 3G USB modem. No printer as the Mikrotik doesn't support that.

It’s not displayed either in the webgui or the app. Possibly out of embarrassment.

Possibly don’t have also. Seems like display of system uptime was left out of newer firmwares. If your TPLink has SNMP, I believe you can still get it from there. C1200 dun have SNMP, C9 got, C7 no idea.

Update for C1200 auto reboot / WAN IP keep changing issue

so TM has provided some setting tweaking to stabilise the condition.

1. disable ipv6
2. disable NAT Boost
3. set to auto DNS (get DNS from ISP)
4. MTU Size : 1492

So far the router uptime has been over 10 Days to date. Same goes with the WAN IP, it doesn't change itself.

UPDATE:
The router still having the same issue after changing these setting.
Firmware Version : 1.0.0. Build 20180208 rel.57928 (EU)

Thank you.

Unfortunately no. The closest thing to achieving that would be to use parental controls.
