If ur not lazy to go few pages back, I remember i did mention that we need to enjoy our systems while it has its crown, before it is too late. Things such cars, laptops etc, they depreciate over time. Nothing much can do about it.
So thats why i always mention to wait if ur really not using it as soon as u buy it. Buy something (in general) when u will use it the next second u own it. That way there's nothing to be jealous about. U got ur spec suits ur need at specific timeframes, so psychologically we lose nothing except it is depreciating in terms of money value and technology. I dont use phone alot, Eiraku knows how bad my phone is, it is so freaking old-skool but i still dont see why do i need to pay much on that as i only use for text and calling. U can read more about my stupid motivation writing so just taht we will feel good after knowing our lappies sell for like half the price we pay. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

U could try Start ==> Run ==> dxdiag and see under the memory tab. cpu-z works too with better details. |

i think if u are dealing with technology stuff then u will have to faced to fact where price may drop rapidly in 1 or 1/2 year times!!!
For me my Dell 24" screen just drop RM600 after 1 and a half month i brought it! |

kingston or corsair? if u asked me it is more like u ask me, nike or adidas, or for more accurate analogy probably one of it is nike or adidas and the other one is reebok. Both are great, branded and either of those still have the potential of being defects. So once u got the defects, it doesnt matter what brand anymore. Even Alienware got defects u know, and yes im talking about laptop (my case was basically not Alienware's fault at all but the manufacturer, Life is Good).

QUOTE(AzeL @ Jun 21 2007, 09:13 AM) yupe it's a bargain...dun mind getting it eventho new model coming out soon coz i definitely can't afford the new model de Here's hoping that nothing goes wrong, but remember the "14 Day Rule"... If your M1210 turns out to be a lemon (overheating, built quality problems, display problems etc. etc.) within 14 days of the printed invoice reaching your house (that's a few days after delivery), ASK FOR A REPLACEMENT! It's covered under Dell's "Total Satisfaction Policy" so they can't refuse (or at least it says on paper)... well i don't think i can do a better job of reviewing compared eiraku now just hoping my "B" key won't pop out or something hehe argh 2 days for confirmation...seems like ages...scare after 2 days they say cant confirm coz lack parts/out of stock parts lol...btw anyone have had any problem during confirmation of order? So test it silly during the first few days! AzeL, give em a call. That is more of interactive communication. Two-ways communication, email - one way communication. For better result, interactive communication is better than static communication. Assume both working effectively. So again, call em. That's truely important. I was just on the phone with tech support like twice today; and i dont even have important events, just some basic questions that i really need to know for sure to get things straight.
Added on June 21, 2007, 9:27 pm@porkchop, and oh, of coz i chose Corsair, official sponsor of WCG. This post has been edited by derred: Jun 21 2007, 09:27 PM |

QUOTE(AzeL @ Jun 21 2007, 07:23 PM) how to test it silly?...follow what you did on ur "chronicles of Dell"?...im pretty much noob when it comes to comp..just know the basics Call your Sales Agent (if you have one), if not just give them a call... At least sure confirm already they got your update... Rite?eh can someone answer?...is the email i sent enuf for address correction or issit better if i call them just to be sure? How to "Test It Silly"? Well, just do whatever you usually do on a laptop, but keep an eye out for anything going wrong... That's it... UPDATE ON THE A4TECH X7 MOUSE: Well guys, another problem... It seems that the X7 Smart software provided with the mouse doesn't only screw Far Cry up, it screws up the Synaptics Touchpad control panel and the Touchpad driver itself... No wonder the touchpad was acting funny lately... PROBLEM: I need to re-assign the 4th and 5th button to Page Up and Page Down (which needs the X7 Smart software) AND I need the Touchpad to work as it should when I disconnect the mouse. Drivers are not a problem, the mouse already works as a 5 button, resolution changeable mouse WITHOUT any drivers... SOLUTION: Uninstall the X7 Smart software, reinstall the Synaptics software and drivers, use X-Mouse Button Control to re-assign the buttons as I see fit (it even has program exclusions, so I can keep Far Cry from losing the 4th and 5th button)... On another note, I finally bought myself some screen protectors (just like the ones you stick on your handphones) for my XPS M1210... First impressions later, when I finally stick it on the screen... |

@AzeL
u pay them a couple thousands and they promised you what they promised. It is ur right. We are not trying to be a jerk or sumthing, it is just something important to us, like ur previous posts which concern alot about the product. You actually dont have to have such feelings or miserable, so just call em, they will assist u. I thot tech support is 24/7, probably u r not considered as customer yet as u has not received the product. So prob in ur case, ur just still in order phase, that would be under Sales and Marketing or wuteva it shud be. Definitely not tech support or sumthing.
