QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jun 19 2007, 12:23 AM)
Most of the time, delivery to WEST Msia takes about 5-7 days (there was this lucky dude who got his in a record 3, but that's an exception to the rule), so add a few more days (say 7-10 days) for East Msia... sweat.gif

But that's just my estimate, alright?

And IMHO a HARDCORE gamer is someone who would rather mess with his game's settings and config files to get the best out of crappy hardware... I mean, isn't tweaking and adjusting everything already half of the fun?  icon_idea.gif

well at least thats a lil faster than what's estimated in the website hehe...well i'll mess with the settings alright...dun mind bumping down reso if can see pretty effects hehe...btw...can this gpu play cnc3?...i hear can play at med settings...and the dedicated memory confirm 64mb?...i read all over the place and some says its 128mb dedicated..pretty noob with this things hehe

It's 64MB dedicated, up to 192MB Turbocache (dynamic shared memory) which means you can have up to 256MB video memory, depending on your needs... That's why you should get as much memory as you can (well, you already get 2GB for free if you order now, so it doesn't cost you one cent = as 2GB is currently the sweet spot for memory)... thumbup.gif

And you can play C&C fine at medium, 1280x800 resolution... Nothing slows down too much... icon_rolleyes.gif

Keep in mind that I'm on Vista... XP users have better nVidia drivers, so expect faster graphics... thumbup.gif

hmm...funny i read the forums on notebookreview about that card and some say it's 128 dedicated..oh well dun care hehe

lol the free 2gb ram is the 3699 one...but if i select the 2999 one and add in 2gb ram with the built in webcam the price is like 3650+...so the promotion kinda pointless.

The performance increase is marginal. Not much of a point for laptop owners to really worry about their RAM running in dual channel.

For dualchannel, it only good if your machine is equiped with GMA950 or those intergrated graphics chip. User will notice a big boost if got dualchannel ram. But if using any good gc, user won't notice any performance hit eventhough it is not in dualchannel. So don't worry wink.gif

Well, you don't need IDENTICALLY identical SODIMMs... As long as its both the same capacity and the same speed (533MHz, 667MHz), you'll be fine... icon_rolleyes.gif

And the other slot is located deep inside your M1210, behind the keyboard... The instructions are included in your manual, IF you wanna try... icon_rolleyes.gif

But as the others have said, it seems that dual channel's not really increasing performance by much... Hmm... Gotta go research on that... icon_rolleyes.gif

what thingy again? DDR is double data rate thingy. you run single channel, dual channel, you still have the thingy going on

yea, rite... any data to back that up?

ok. just to make it clear - dual channel is OVERRATED. only in benchmark you can see the speed gain from DC over SC. or in some rare cases, during loading of an ultra-huge map to play BF2 or the kind.

and NO. it won't make your crappy GMA950 run any faster. GMA950 is for basic applications. no 3d. no game. even quad channel won't help. enuf said.

Ok... First, what Windows are you running? Second, what games is it that you seem to not be able to play?

If you're running Vista there's a few games that just wont run... sweat.gif
