Don't think so. It's like car odometer. Unless you replace the board or know how to burn the chip that stores the number.

Hope the box still there for 1-to-1 replacement. All the best!

not normal, defective.

if 2 days old, ask for 1-for-1 exchange - some sellers have this practice for 1st 7 days.

also, check settings/about/status/uptime - see how many hours this tv has been used... if it was a display unit.

Since it's Android TV OS and you only have to go through the above? Then yes! Factory reset will reset that.. In fact, that might just be time for how long the TV has been powered on for a single instance. Standby mode included. On Samsung, there's a series of remote presses (code) that has to be done for the hidden-advanced menu to show. This is likened to a PC's BIOS menu. Can find real hours on counter there. I expect Sharp TVs too have these authorized technicians only section too. Just need to find it.

Anybody playing with USB?

I connect USB2 (rear) with 0.5m extension cable to play one .MKV 4k demo.
TV automatically switch to USB,but cannt play file.
Taking out USB drive ,I lost all input to tv......HDM1-4 and tuners.Off-on tv and all is back again.
USB3 (side) didnt try yet.

Read in some Sharp manuals :
CAUTION
Do not use a USB extension cable when connecting a USB memory device to the USB
terminal on the TV.
Using a USB extension cable with the USB memory device may prevent the TV from
performing correctly.

Btw,
bellow is type of the files can be used on 6800X (Thailand):.......H.265 (HEVC)... rclxms.gif

Just check about the uptime, it only show how long you power On the TV at that moment, not the total cum uptime.

Playing file coded in H.265 isn't a problem with VLC. Not sure if VLC supports HDR or not though.

quite right.

the hours accumulate as long as it is on standby.

if unplugged, it resets to 0.

I just received the new TV 50" 6500x.
Last time I bring my HD test the 6800x in the shop, all file can't read due to RMVB files. But I try my 6500x, all files able to read. And I'm using extension USB cable.

something i discovered about the 6800x...

if u have a media player/android box, try playing 1080p videos with 1080p setting instead of highest 2160p setting (of the player).

for this tv, i find the 1080p picture quality better if player set to 1080p rather than 2160p (50, 60 hz).

only when u play 2160p videos should u set to 2160p.

this is not the case with 50" ue630x where a 2160p setting works good for 720p, 1080p, 2160p.

maybe it's a "size" effect... or ua6800x is more discriminatory when it comes to upscaling...??

one thing i can say if u r used to smaller tv's... 40, 50"... becos 60" is quite a jump.

u better be sure u play only 1080i/1080p/2160p/HDR10 stuff. SD, even 720p will appear blur! biggrin.gif

your eyes are better off with 50-55" max!

LC60UA6800x or UA55NU7400, which one best bang for bucks? Mainly for movie and youtube.
*
i think with the Samsung u will get slightly better picture quality (has a better screen)... and its costs more than the Sharp... so id rather go for the 60 inch any day...
