your 6800x must be about the same age as mine - exactly 3 years now.

i have no complaints either, been good, does what it should.

my other sharp ue630x is >5 yrs old now - this one , the picture quality is actually a bit better but is only 4k, no HDR.

My LC-UE630x cannot watch YouTube about 2 weeks ago.
Now suddenly I can't even cast through my mobile phone.

Luckily still can cast with my laptop.

I'm thinking it is because it is still Android 6.

Thoughts anyone?

Please?

See ue630x thread.

Try restarting with ABOUT in settings. It loses connection sometimes.

UA6800x is not a gud TV, I already claimed warranty, replacement ck1x, much better model.

i hv not used this 6500x model; last used 6800x but not anymore.

if u do not see youtube, it probably means firmware and security updates have stopped, too old.

my experience with these TVs, u can try updating Playstore first - go to the app and see if u can do it manually.

if this can be done, u can then reinstall youtube from playstore.

if u can't do any of that, it probably means the firmware is obsolete, no more updates... can't do much about it.

I think 6500X is not an Android TV, It is Sharp Smart TV.

The other way is to get a Xiaomi Stick and use that instead, plug it into your HDMI port.

It had lines after 2 yrs, replaced foc under warranty. Replacement ck1x is a better TV, been 2 yr now. The AndroidTV is working v well, HDR10.

If, as said by other, that the tv isn't AndroidTV os, can't do anything. Next TV better buy AndroidTV or newer GoogleTV.

Dang. Looks like this is not an isolated case. So what did you do in the end?

HDMI ARC. This tv supports CEC as well. I used a Sony tv bar CT380 that has HDMI ARC, just connect my source & to tv. And HDMI to the soundbar, done.
