Called ANA helpdesk just now...Free shuttle bus should be ok too as its every 4min, and only 8min to reach.
I was thought i found somewhere writing if you are connecting from domestic to international, you can go board keikyu or monorail for free, but couldn't trace where
probably see what the ground staff will recommend when i at scene.
yup, recommended by here and ANA lol for Narita, just the caution needed for Haneda return flight.
No need for luggage retrieve if you make sure they done "check-through" for your luggage tag (when you get your 2 boarding pass)

btw...I saw my web reservation there asking for me to put in passport details, which seems it will do auto-check-in for me 24/48hr before flight.
Is it advisable to do so? can i let it check in web, then print boarding pass at airport while luggage drop, or i should print myself?

Just put in the passport number, cause you able to select seat already once put in passport number. (Do you able select seat now?)

It will auto do check in 24hr before flight, it superb easy.

I did some research on this, and there are plenty of options, like wifibaby, wivo wifi, roamingman and so on. Please advise...

Hi bro.. I dont seem to find an answer to why car rental in Osaka is more expensive compared to other cities like Tokyo and Hokaiddo. Do you have any preffered car rental companies with reasoanable rates to recommend for Osaka? Thanks.

Any other suggestion guys?

Don't used those international car rental brand such as Avis , Hertz...etc etc
Try Japan car rental such as Nippon rent a car / Toyota car rental.

Each city have different taxes on car rental policy + each state have different price due to season.

yup, i m landing at Narita then transfer to Domestic to Itami...
that means i will need to complete clearance at Narita through custom, then re-check in to domestic?
cannot go through transit directly?

actually you don't have to worry much. The airport staff from ANA will actually guide you through after you disembark from your international arrival plane

Gotta thank the one who started the thread in V1 biggrin.gif

Since it's your first trip to Japan, read through Page #1 Post #1. It has comprehensive information and recommended itinerary etc. Since we don't do spoon feeding, do some research beforehand and when you've got your rough itinerary, feel free to share it with forumers for them to help take a look wink.gif all the best!

So my dream of traveling to Japan has been crushed. Visa rejected. Their visa reapplication policy doesn't make sense. Can only apply after 6 months? That means definitely cannot go on the originally planned date.

You're applying Visa to study there? Or work?

There must a reason why it's rejected. Did you ask? Understand it and make sure there's no issue when you re-apply.

No. Just holiday. I'm a student from Maldives studying in Malaysia. I have student visa valid for more than 6 months. I had a letter from the university, even a letter from my gf who is sponsoring my trip, all the bank statements which I suspect is the reason for rejection. My bank statement does not reflect the money I've saved for the trip. I assume they just assumed that I cannot afford the trip.
I did ask about the reason from the lady who contacted me and she said they weren't given a reason for rejection.

Hi guys. The plan is as such :

7am -Arrive at Narita
9am - Meet up with remaining group and head to Nagano/Yudanaka
12pm - Reach Yudanaka and walk to Ryoken and Drop off bags
1pm - Snow Monkey/Chill/Onsen hopping
7pm - dinner

Next day
7 am - Breakfast
8am - Check out & Snow Monkey (if didnt see the day before)
11am - at Yudanaka Station and head to Matsumoto
5 pm - Finished around Matsumoto.

Now at this point I need your advice, should I go straight to Kawaguchiko or go to Tokyo and head to Kawaguchiko next day? Seems like a long trip if directly to Kawaguchiko from Matsumoto. Both seems like the train will eat up a lot of time. If any of you guys have tried this route i'd love to know.

Thanks.

More than enough time. Domestic flight in Japan is very efficient. Transfer buses run frequently.

Hi. I’m new to this forum and need some help with my Hokkaido planning. My party of 5 (2 adults with 3 kids) will be visiting a few places in Hokkaido for 10days in Early December.
(1) is it easier to rent a car or use public transport?
(2) Can we use Uber in Japan?
(3) for short trip of about 20mins/13km, how much would be the taxi fare?

Thanks!

1.

If u're within Sapporo, public transportation will do.

If you are going to the outskirts, better rent a car. It's worth it if you're going with a family. Can be even cheaper than paying for a bus to go to the outskirt (to and fro).

2.
I'm not sure. I didnt check it out when i was there. LOL. Either I was using MRT/trains or rented a car.

3.
Taxis in Japan are expensive. Might as well rent a car. There are taxi fare calculator for Japan on the net. U can see for yourself.
