Hi guys, in a plan of a vacation to Hokkaido mid of November
Know it’s a low season and not much scenery, thought to find some input what else can go for and do around
Food, sight-seeing (if any), visit, etc

Your input is welcomed, thanks

For your knowledge, Osaka Itami Airport doesn't have any immigration clearance.  smile.gif

Wait serious?
I am going to land there
Is it much less featured versus KANSAI?
Like whether we can get pass, etc stuff at counters there?

Where are you flying from? Tokyo then Itami? If you you are coming from Tokyo, you pass immigration there and not Itami.
*
yup, i m landing at Narita then transfer to Domestic to Itami...
that means i will need to complete clearance at Narita through custom, then re-check in to domestic?
cannot go through transit directly?

You need to check with your airlines. If its two different airlines, then most probably yes.
Immigration is defenitely in Narita.

I am booking from same Airlines, ANA
the flight itinerary is
KUL -> Narita (est. Layover 2.5hr) -> Itami

KIX -> Haneda (est. layover 1hr50m) -> KUL

first time taking this kind of Int-Domestic, Domestic-Int transfer, wonder how it will be?

I can advise on KUL-Narita-Itami. Refer few pages back, I was transit ANA from KUL-Narita-Chitose. Immigration at Narita, pickup all luggage, once exit Customs, don't goto arrival hall (Narita) there is a small door for domestic transfer. Drop your luggage there, and walk to domestic terminal. I have my 2x boarding pass printed in KLIA, just show them.

Once arrive at final destination  confused.gif  you are treated like domestic passenger already. No more immigration/customs.

Thanks rclxms.gif
so means i still got to do all the regular tourist thing, except when pass through custom, then straight look for place to domestic transfer and proceed there for check in and luggage drop?
Based on my itinerary, i m landing at Narita at 1540, flight to Itami is 1810, 2.5hr sufficient for all that?

and now after google, it seems my return trip, KIX - Haneda - KUL, the Haneda will be at Terminal 2, then move to International terminal. Scheduled landing time is 2215, flight to KUL is 0005, 1hr 50m, crazy short...hahaha...

Should be more than enough, for my transit (ANA) in NRT, clearing immigration is quite efficient (Japanese style), pick up luggage, exit customs, but don't exit arrival hall. There is a small door for "transit" , go there, show boarding pass, drop luggage and goto domestic gate.
*
This is the same I have
So looks like no issue given like yours
And since time is more than enough
Anything to plan or eat after get into there?
Though if can have light dinner there first before next flight

So now biggest concern is the KIX-HND-KUL, which has only 1h50m between and need move between terminal

You can try tokyo monorail... It link 3 airport terminal in haneda ..........

Called ANA helpdesk just now...Free shuttle bus should be ok too as its every 4min, and only 8min to reach.
I was thought i found somewhere writing if you are connecting from domestic to international, you can go board keikyu or monorail for free, but couldn't trace where
probably see what the ground staff will recommend when i at scene.

Yes, Narita is you travel in as International, hence passport and customs. Once that is done, you considered "in" already and just transfer to domestic terminal/flight. Since 2nd flight is not international-connecting-flight, you need to take all your luggages to pass through customs. No need check-in or goto transfer counter, if you have 2x boarding pass (ANA) printed at KLIA.

2.5 hours is more than enough for Narita transit, with Japanese efficiency (not bodek, but that's the reality), you probably clear everything and at domestic terminal boarding gate within 1 hour.

However, don't take things for granted just as most of us say so. Better go straight than walk around here and there.

yup, recommended by here and ANA lol for Narita, just the caution needed for Haneda return flight.
No need for luggage retrieve if you make sure they done "check-through" for your luggage tag (when you get your 2 boarding pass)

btw...I saw my web reservation there asking for me to put in passport details, which seems it will do auto-check-in for me 24/48hr before flight.
Is it advisable to do so? can i let it check in web, then print boarding pass at airport while luggage drop, or i should print myself?

actually you don't have to worry much. The airport staff from ANA will actually guide you through after you disembark from your international arrival plane
*
I not so worry of the entering Japan...
more for the leaving...as need to go from Haneda T2 to TI, and scheduled turn around time is 1h50m only
if smooth ok la...

More than enough time. Domestic flight in Japan is very efficient. Transfer buses run frequently.
