10x points if you don't save the card in TNG and reload each time as a new card.

CIMB Travel World Elite is the best AIRMILES and CASHBACK credit card there is in 2023

Don't worry you are not T20

All you need to find is 65,000 RM to put into a fixed deposit

Actually used to be 5,000 RM but that method die too soon

And with the right METHOD to CHURN at LOW COST
Don't need to worry about the RM240000 Minimum Spending.

You just need to MOVE RM20,000 though you card a MONTH

EASY

Sharing is Caring

Is there any cap on the points can get per month/annual?
And what's the max miles conversion allow?

And the annual fee as some said, the waiver not applicable for first year, mean if we're not new to bank, then have to pay for the first year?

Thanks.

No cap on the points you are able to earn or convert to AirMiles.
If you are existing customer of CIMB, then yes, you will have pay for the annual fee which can NOT be waived.
You can spend enough this year for next year's waiver nevertheless.

No other card in Malaysia can offer RM 1 local spend = 1 Enrich mile - currently

Yeap, if all no cap, this is really nice. And the point and use for hotel redemption as well.
Just when checking from the website, a bit confusing on the conversion. Is there any page / summary on the conversion to different airlines and hotel rewards point?
Which airlines offer the best value for point conversion?

Hi, CIMB does not convert to KrisFlyer miles. It is best to convert to Enrich Airmiles.

1) Enrich offers instant flight redemptions/confirmations, whereas KrisFlyer sometimes has waiting lists.
2) Of course KrisFlyer experience is said to be much better.
3) However, don't discount Enrich Airmiles yet. You CAN redeem any flights within the One World Alliance which includes the very expensive Japan Airlines. Just need to call Enrich and be prepared to set aside 2 hours of your day to do this.

For your reference

1) Officially (based on CIMB rates), RM 1000 spend = 10k Points = 1000 Enrich airmiles or RM 25 cashback (effectively 2.5% cashback). Therefore, 1 Enrich mile = RM 0.025 (you can convert to cash with CIMB)

2) If you redeem MAS Business class, 1 Enrich mile is worth up to RM 0.041656 for Business class redemption and worth less for Economy class redemption.

(Will need to compare with the cheapest flight ticket in the corresponding cabin class)

3) *If you redeem Business class with Japan Airlines, you can maximise the value of your Enrich mile. 1 Enrich is up to 0.17319 (about 4 times the value with Enrich business class)

For example, I recently redeemed a one-way flight from Tokyo to London Heathrow.
The cheapest one-way business class is RM 23k with Japan Airlines EXCLUDING taxes

Always good to share smile.gif to help make the most of our money indeed
Hope to hear about tips from other forumers.

4) If you manage to gain a business class with Japan Airlines via CIMB WTE - Enrich, the annual fee of RM 1200 will be extremely worth it!

Whereas you can redeem the same business class using 131000 Enrich Airmiles via Malaysia Airlines call centre. Note that the miles required for One World Alliance are based on distances - and are fixed until new changes are announced.

the taxes are fixed at RM 1693 per person (for both Economy & Business class)

4) There is however drawback. It seems that there is only one business class seat for redemption via Malaysia Airlines One World Alliance for each business class flight. So, if you are travelling alone, it is great. Otherwise, may have to settle for Economy class for your partner or family's sake.

Another tip to gain reward points is to offer to help your friends and family members to pay for shopping, purchases, etc

By offering them 0.5% discount, 1% discount, depending on who they are and how easy it is to collect funds from them.

the effective cashback rate is 2.5% - so you have nothing to lose by even offering people 'instant' cashback.

Of course, the family and friends must be trustworthy, such as Aunties/Uncles who deposit cash to pay for purchases.

This is the "community equivalent" of a card holder charging company purchases and then claiming expenses back from the company

*IMPORTANT* - Don't allow people to bank in cash to your bank account. Always request that people pay cash into their OWN account then transfer back to your current account so there is proper record. Otherwise banks will think it is dodgy to receive cash into bank account.

One cash deposit a day could be enough to trigger a bank's review

Hi, the 17 cents is a fake value, someone would like to use the term - it is only for syok sendiri.
We NEVER calculate the redemption value based on 1 way ticket, always use return ticket price minus tax and divide by 2.

Take your example, TYO-LHR, random search, cheapest return ticket ~ RM21k (exclude tax); one way ticket ~ RM19k (exclude tax).
See, the price difference is only 10%.
Hence I will say your redemption "value" is approx 9 cents (which is good) rather than 17 cents!

Glad that you highlighted this, many people will only teach the first step and ignore the subsequent step/warning.
End up someone landed in big trouble.

Another way to *earn* more while you accumulate RP/miles on WTE is wait for enrich promotion where they give 20% extra. This happens twice a year I believe.

Anyone redeemed enrich via cimb clicks before? How fast is the miles reflected in your enrich account?

Thanks for the details explanation and good to know the 1-BC redemption policy. Do you happen to know Qatar or Emirates allow for 2 redemption?
And is there any First class redemption allowed by any airlines?

Yes, yon can redeem flights on Qatar.

I don't think Emirates belongs to One World or indeed any other Alliance.

When I asked about first class on Japan Airlines (Tokyo to London), it was available but I did not ask how many spaces there were.

So, Enrich miles are still very useful.

Let us know if TnG sends you any love letter if u decide to move big funds out from TnG. So far after this 1% thing is implemented, so far no one is reporting about TnG sending love letters. So, let us know!

If only TNG is being fair and honours the transferability of RM 20k after charging 1% fee, I feel that the 1% fee is justified. But the biggest concern is that it will almost always try to stop it. I suspect TNG will pay more than 1% fee to the banks/credit card issuers by processing credit card transactions. TNG has to earn it back somehow when customers use the e-wallet for non-cash transactions.

All ewallet spend is entitled. Just try not to save the card with TNG.

A bit unrelated, but is it better to

1) Buy economy class tickers, then upgrade to business using miles?
2) Use miles and buy business directly?
