I got a promo for inactive card users only. RM5 cashback for every rm25 spent. Max rm50 rebate. So I topped up 25 x 10 times to my TNB account.

Shopeepay or Lazada wallet, 10x.

All listed "approved" wallets reload 10x.

TNG wallet saved cards no points as MCC normally will get "Toll" categories.

I never tried unsaved yet after this issue popped out...

10x points at a 400 points to rm1 ratio is ... a 2.5% cashback isn't it. Not bad if you reload ewallets 😁

All my TnG reload with saved card method entitled for 10x points. Just got my first statement, total points awarded is tally with the total spent recorded in statement.
*
Checked my online eStatement today, and all points were awarded including TNG saved cards.

Just hope CIMB doesn't revise the points redemption rates in the near future.

CIMB e credit card got annual fee waiver for 1st year. How to get waived for the subsequent years?

Official website said waived until 2025.

Other websites like RinggitPlus said waived only when min spend RM12,000.

(Sorry, I can't post links cuz not allowed by Low Yat Forum.

So, which one is the correct one?
*
Consider it a campaign promo by CIMB, for annual fee waiver until 2025, without spend requirement. T&C below:

https://www.cimb.com.my/content/dam/cimb/pe...ign-tnc-eng.pdf

I would always go with the official T&Cs.

Also, if you already have the card, you can also call or email CIMB if still in doubt.

Hi, anyone has converted their points to air miles? Is it really RM1 to 1 air mile?  Which airline air miles is best for redemptions in terms of value?  I know cost to redeem from Eva air is high, what about cathay?  MH doesn’t have many flights to Europe.
*
It depends. KrisFlyer is popular. Check the miles required for your destination for your preferred airlines and do a bit of comparison shopping.

Is the Hotelux membership worth applying for? Any other perks that is good besides the miles and the free hotel stay?

Thanks man. I have actually went through the website before this, just wondering if there is anything that I missed.
*
Doubt the CIMB website missed any of its own product benefits ... haha... if you've read all of it, then I doubt I could tell you anything more.

Personally, I have already used the FlexiRoam SIM to get online the moment I land overseas (worth maybe rm15), as well as the airport lounge privilege (which is surprisingly limited use), and I believe all CIMB cards allow you to get a year of FoodPanda Pro membership (which sometimes is on offer for RM0.99 anyway).

I don't use the rm65 Grabcar perk because it's low value, conditional, and only given once a quarter (!!). It's better to use Citi PM and SCB WM travel cards for those.

Can't believe CIMB devalues it's own MC WE customers with all these cheap perks (as well as having its own entry level card that actually gives higher points that it's highest-tier MC card...)

Can choose asia miles/enrich or even avios for oneworld airlines, Turkish for star alliance airlines

Krisflyer is not not available for cimb

Cutting your card soon?
*
Yes you are right.. It's not available for Cimb.. and the miles conversion is not always 1:1 ...

From the forex conversions in my statement, the TWE card seems to be charging 1.5% bank fee for overseas transactions.

^ This is what i want to ask too..
How do they credit the "lounge access" into your account after spending the amount ?
Is it once reach the target it will automatically credit in ?
It would be akward once i spend enough, then the next few day i try entered lounge and declined...
*
The eligibility is tracked on a quarter year basis. I wouldn't suggest to risk the last few days before flight to meet Spend requirements. so far it takes a few days to reflect transactions in online banking. May take longer to feed that same data to PPL.
