Personally, I applied for the free Marriott stay because mine is only the Travel World Card.

The World Elite has better earn rates (at least for now) compared to M2P for local spend

I still use my M2P as my main miles & points earner. May not continue with the CIMB card for Year 2 onwards

I have both and for M2P, I will only spend to achieve 80k AF waiver. That’s for this year, next year I will focus on M2P only if CIMB is not extending the promo. I keep M2P because I’m a KF fan and CIMB doesn’t have KF program.

I applied TWE because it’s RM 1 for 1 mile. This simple reason. The Marriot stays is a bonus for me.

And nope, TWE’s AF is much higher than M2P. Spending criteria is also higher i.e. 240k to waive AF.
Yes, same here. If it doesn’t extend its promo, I will stop using it in year 2. For this whole year I will focus almost exclusively for airmiles only, with TWE.

Another way to *earn* more while you accumulate RP/miles on WTE is wait for enrich promotion where they give 20% extra. This happens twice a year I believe.

Anyone redeemed enrich via cimb clicks before? How fast is the miles reflected in your enrich account?

The 1% cross border fee makes CIMB TWE not the perfect card for overseas spending.
There's a number of multi currency card for my overseas spending. 

MBB 2 card reserve doesn’t have any foreign exchange fee/ rates lower than TWE?

Have done multiple overseas txns with TWE and Maybank 2 cards reserve at the same time and same amount.

if TWE charged me 1USD= MYR4.70, MBB AMEX would be MYR4.75-4.77

Did not try this using MBB Visa.
