I got finance charge on my latest statement, but i paid within the time frame. Means i paid the statement - the cash rebate. They told me i should always pay statement and not minus the rebate , that's why i got the finance charge. I never had this problem with other banks Maybank, UOB or PB. Is this legit?
*
Follow the rule, always pay the statement balance, to Maybank, UOB, PB as well.
Only some banks accept rebate as part of payment, but they may change it anytime.

SST only apply on credit card and charge card.
But CIMB-Lazada's Annual Fee is RM10.

darn. i am still undecided whether to cancel or not. If RM25 annually, maybe my annual rebate can be more than that. but just don't like the idea of being taxed. maybe can asked for exemption later?

there is no such thing as exemption. all charge/credit cards will be taxed RM25 SST.

whether bank willing to absorb, you gotta try asking from CS.

Seriously, is there any reason to keep the CIMB cash rebate platinum still at all? Feel like all other cash rebate cards is better.

There are better cash back cards out there. Just spend some time browsing through threads in lowyat.

Don't always look at the cash back only.
CIMB CC can give you discounts on some dining places, eg a family meal at Sheraton / Hilton may already save you 10 years SST.

Kiam siap mentality will be different. Instead of family meal at Sheraton/Hilton go and eat at your favourite chinese restaurant you spend less than half (for better food). Better than CIMB discount.

Me too, but I keep it since my card anniversary just past recently, will just take their RM20 offer n cut again maybe 6 months later
*
Any idea if topping up BP would count as RM200 transaction? But mine will be charged for SST in Nov/Dec. Not sure if there'll be sufficient time to get the rebate before I proceed to cancel sweat.gif

thats why promotion that give cashback/rebate on the thing that we need as essential and at lowest price already is the best.

for example, give 10% cashback/rebate on a bowl of big noodle that cost RM7. Good! biggrin.gif
