QUOTE(nickywan123 @ Nov 28 2017, 11:06 PM) Is the X screen really that small? Or because its coming from iphone Plus users to X users? For me, i am changing from 5s to X so I am not sure if i will feel it's smaller for me or not lol If you are changing from the 5S then it would definately not feel small. But for some of us coming from the plus size Iphones, it certainly is smaller. This post has been edited by TOMEI-R: Nov 29 2017, 10:11 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

Dropped my phone from waist height, I think it hit my car then on the concrete pavement... a bit of scuffs on the case edge but my TG cracked at the top lol.
Looks like I need to get another TG... that lasted only for less than 2 days! Quite paranoid now, I think I should start using my UAG.. QUOTE(ronaldlim91 @ Nov 29 2017, 08:51 AM) Face ID supposed to be able to learn changes from our faces... i'd expect after 5 mornings it should recognize my sleepy face! Even when I forced my eyes to be open in bed it still doesn't recognize... |

Face ID always fails me early in the morning when my eyes are half closed. After some "training"it is getting better nowI am getting another new tempered glass. Got dust went in through the top part and I spoiled my tempered glass due to my OCD-ness lol |

Got dust went in through the top part and I spoiled my tempered glass due to my OCD-ness lol Haha that was exactly how I spoiled my first TG Hoda, got the 2nd one diff brand Monofilm and lasted less than 2 days when I dropped my phone. But both also had the same problems with dust going through the top ambient sensor part, so I think most if not all TG designed this way will have this problem, so you'll have to ignore that OCDness part haha |

QUOTE(toytoy @ Nov 27 2017, 10:25 PM) Just saved myself RM 119. Used a RM5.90 USB-C to USB-A female converter and Connect original lightning cable to PD capable power bank. No need to buy USB-C to lightning cable. Was afraid it might fry my iPhone X but took the plunge coz wanted to try fast charging. Powerbank used is XiaoMi ZMI QB820 with PD and max 40W output. Wasn't sure how much power the X is drawing but it is charging at averagely 1% per minute. [attachmentid=9382228] [attachmentid=9382229][attachmentid=9382230] [attachmentid=9382231][attachmentid=9382239] [attachmentid=9382240][attachmentid=9382241] [attachmentid=9382249][attachmentid=9382252] QUOTE(toytoy @ Nov 27 2017, 11:43 PM) 1 Min 1% = 100 mins full charge. Less than 2 hours wor. I think should be gua. https://www.google.com.my/amp/appleinsider....s-and-more/amp/ Looking at the test result. Seems like the normal cable and the converter can only do around 12W. Maybe need to buy USB-C to lightning cable to get full fast charge capability. QUOTE(Cimo @ Nov 29 2017, 04:49 AM) I didn't manage to test from 0-100 yet as my current practice is to put my phone on it whenever i'm sitting down at my desk. Based on my un-scientific observation, generally the charging rate is similar with charging it with stock cabled charger. The 1% / minute is about right. I bought 2 chargers . One is Apple Original 29w another is Aukey PA-Y10, both charger gave the same speed. I am not using usb-c converter though, also bought the original Apple USB-C to lightning cable What I like best is the convenience of using wireless charger. No more hassle to attach the cable to the phone. Hopefully this will prolong the life of the connector on the iphone itself. Edit: I'm on iOS 11.1.2, so unable to try with 11.2 7.5W fast charging whether compatible or not. From your test, I may save money on additional cable. It’s super expensive... 119 per cable |

QUOTE(yeuuei @ Nov 28 2017, 05:04 PM) I have notice the same WiFi issue like you. One plus beside me is working fine, but iPhone X unstable connection Thanks to Intel for this, Qualcomm modem is so so much stable. I tested my X and iPad Pro on my driving as well over the weekend. When I reach the destination, my iPad Pro with Qualcomm will just say I have arrived and stop navigating, while my X still tell me to turn one big round. I have 10 iPhones to date, ever since Apple introduce Intel modem as alternative to Qualcomm, GPS suffered the most while cellular and wifi can be fixed with better telco and better router. Malaysia/Singapore unlucky to get half cooked Intel modem, not as stable esp GPS. Btw, am using Maxis, 85% of the time I have 4G, almost don't see E, I think once or twice since I got my X almost 4 weeks now. For 3G either Maxis and Digi sucks, one trick to get to 4G is touch 2G, 3G and 4G in setting. For router I use Xiaomi Router Pro AC3200(under Rm400), 3 walls may face some issues but may still get the signal occasional. 2 walls or less should get close to full speed. I am in 100Mbps. |

QUOTE(ftan @ Nov 28 2017, 11:04 PM) Haha. I just tried it. It’s cute. My apologies Sis. Too often the 'bro' appears in my sentences and I dunno why lol. Thanks for the info. I joined before but lapse on the membership. 900 points for a 5k phone? It’s not one point per one myr? Btw, am not a bro. No worries on membership lapse, you can just renew it for RM12...to me, its quite worth it. RM12 renews your membership which gets you free additional 1 year warranty. On the points side, I'm not really bothered. Not even sure what I can do with it lol. This post has been edited by yupio: Nov 29 2017, 01:02 PM |

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Nov 29 2017, 09:50 AM) Yes, 5 mornings still haven't learn yet lol I have actually gotten used to swiping up even if the unlock sign is still locked. It will somehow still unlocked as long as you point your face on the screen. So nowadays, I dont wait for the unlock sign, just straight swipe up.Haha that was exactly how I spoiled my first TG Hoda, got the 2nd one diff brand Monofilm and lasted less than 2 days when I dropped my phone. QUOTE(ASGM99 @ Nov 29 2017, 10:01 AM) I got my Hoda at RM27 during 11.11 combine with other purchases. Haven't used it as it is my spare, I still find the top notch being covered by the black soft pet material, 3 brands I bought all the same. I hope they are different quality from diff brand, hopefully not all same quality selling at different price with diff brand cuz they all looks the same. Tempered glass is so so much easy to stick compare to film, even my 12.9" also very easy. I fail to stick on 9.7" film that day as dusk easily go in many areas. |
