SIFUS, i've applied for the carz credit card but guess the sales person submitted more than 1 credit card application, how to cancel the card that i do not wish for or just ignore the card will do? will there be penalties for cancelling the card immediately upon received of it?

Just don't activate the card, the salesperson won't get commission for the card if u don't activate it icon_rolleyes.gif

safer to call up and cancel, so that it frees up your CTOS scores on total commitment amount.

I have same situation before . Called to cancelled 1 of my Ambank credit card about a year ago , but the card is still under my ccris report . Called Ambank , cs told me that the card was actually on hold but not cancelled . I told them to cancelled it , and after few days their card department called me to verify only they cancel the card .

Normally application of credit in Ccris report shows that which credit card you have applied , on which date and credit limit which has been approve in the past 12 months . If you are holding the card for more than 1 year and your application of credit is still in the report , you might need to check with bank or BNM

e-CCRIS has launched.
One can register once in BNM or AKPK, then can check CCRIS online every month.

Just ignore it if you pay statement balance in full.

You may not get so much of answers about financial charges because most of the users here pay in full. Interest is our least worried thing and most of us don't pay attention to it.

what u know of finance charge, is termed differently for Islamic card, eg FMF

calculation almost same as conventional finance charge.

for us, we won't bother to calculate cuz we avoid it and it's complicated to calculate.

do contact bank if you must know how it works.

so it's not like hidden charge or anything? it's related to bill and how we pay only?

Thanks a lot. biggrin.gif
