QUOTE(charlesj @ Apr 12 2019, 10:58 AM)
I think you need to indicate:
Spend RM10, get 30 points (for x10 category).
You need to spend RM1900 for 5700 points, equals to 2.63%

If not, those not familiar will think RM1 = 1 point; for x10 will be getting 10 points
*
10X limit to 3000 points per month, ie spend max RM1000/month.
If I am not wrong, you can swipe and redeem at the pump, 3000 Bonuslink points = RM30 Shell petrol.
So the reward rate is more or less same as True card.

MBF credit cards were very popular, when MBF Finance was the largest finance and the largest credit card issuer in Malaysia before bank-finance mergers. Before 2000, cardholders must pay an Annual Fee to keep a credit card. You couldn't find a non-AF CC with good rebate.
MBF Cards survived independently but MBF Finance were merged into AmBank.
A decade later, MBF Holdings sold MBF Cards business to AmBank as Ambank wanted to boost up credit card operations.
the MBF credit cards are now known as "M" cards.

Now I got it..

But just wonder why this card has the annual fee? Anything so special about the benefits?  unsure.gif

M cards are junk now. All the while MBf cards were expensive but MBf Card provided some good services especially phone-in service to pay utilities/phone bills etc. You called local MBf office (outstation calls and calls from mobile were expensive) and MBf would help you to settle the utilities bills etc (No Maybank2u, online banking & Cash-Deposit Machines/Kiosks, and only paper statements by mail). Then UOB started Payonline but charged RM1 (when I was still using dial-up Internet) per bill payment.

Ambank is yet to phase out the obsolete products.
Same to Maybank - Millennium/Classic card (annual fee RM60), Citibank - Clear (annual fee RM90). They were the best and cheapest (AF) credit cards when I first applied for a CC.

Acquiring bank (the merchant's service provider)
Not your card issuer.

Ooh. Something like Amex right? In that case, which online accepts them? I wonder does the CB finish fast since only 24400. I frequently buy stuffs from NSK and Jaya Grocer. The 15% is very tempting but if ppl reload bigpay and stuffs and it finishes within the 1st week, then no point for me to apply for it. So any users around can validate by when the cashback finishes?

Unionpay (China) issue more cards than Visa + Mastercard combined.
In Malaysia quite a lot of retailers accept Unionpay card, eg Aeon, Guardian, Parkson, H&M, Everrise Kuching, CS Mini Market Kuching etc.
Online you can use it at Prestomall, Youbeli, AirAsia.
You can't use Unionpay card at Bigpay, Grabpay, TNG wallet, Boost yet! devil.gif

LOL Unionpay card can be used everywhere in Malaysia!
Go to Aeon buying RM1000 vouchers! Then gradually use the vouchers in the next few months.

RM3 to 1 enrich miles for local spend. Not sure why this does not look very enticing for me. Any sifu mind to explain the hype behind this card?

I am only interested in
- up to 10% discount (Enrich -5%, MHexplorer up to -30%)
- Lounge (unlimited but need to pay Annual Fee OR 4x/year with no annual fee)

Not interested to spend on something else.
