ya

like today i service car

they got the chip + slide in at the side

i insist to use my phone to pay but end up they use that "boss dont allow" argument

since its my usual service center then i just didnt bother to demand too much sweat.gif

car service quality in the future is more important than spay points for me tongue.gif laugh.gif

a good service one, may let us try for one time, won't straight away reject
btw, i am still failed to try for most of the mst machine
damn, lost many points

Your SOT seems kinda low with 35% juice left assuming you started with a full charge. On average, I am getting 5 hours of SOT with my Note.

I don't use Samsung Dex, so I won't know if it's consumption figures are normal but it seems to utilize quite a bit. Other apps appears to be normal.
*
Yeah that's the thing. It's been pretty inconsistent with SOT. Mainly cause of the bad standby. Usually when I use the phone it drains slowly. But today it just started draining badly even while using it. Super weird ughhhh sad.gif. (Combined with bad standby as well)
I have no idea what Dex is it just appeared out of nowhere and idk how to disable it. Maybe I'll go to Samsung if they can heck my battery or something.. :/ thanks.

I did... I don't think it's any app problems though. Social media apps I only have Instagram, Twitter and WhatsApp. Then some Google apps... Waze, Spotify and Reddit
*
i means, you need to check the battery consumption % of all the items
then only decide which one is the problem

also to note that if you frequently turn on screen for a short while to check status, etc, it consume a lot of battery
but if you are always on screen perform activities for long time per time, it will have very good on screen time

so for me, i like AOD a lot, because it can avoid unnecessry frequently turn on screen to check status, time, etc
i am only on screen if i see notification on AOD
so it saved the battery a lot, and also just need a quick glance then i can decide to take out the phone or not, else just leave it there

No crashing problems at all. The phone runs smoothly just bad standby. If you could check the screenshots I attached. Thanks
*
if you are really not using much on the samsung dex, reddit and whatsapp
so its battery consumption should be lower than the kernel
so it maybe these 3 apps are the problem

I didn't know you were not using Samsung Dex. Dex is a device dock which allows us to connect a monitor and input devices to use our phone as a desktop workstation. It is pretty impressive but I haven't felt the need to get one for myself.

Since you are not utilising Dex, it is weird that it is using so much of your battery juice. Should put it to sleep.

Hey thanks for the reply. May I know what apps you have on your phone? And your battery out of the box good already or like after a week or so? (Cause I read it takes some time to optimize..)
*
Just the usual apps. Facebook, ig, twitter, whatsapp, those Google apps, waze. I switch on traffic information notification to work from Google in the morning. I disabled the Microsoft apps and put most of the apps that I don't need notifications or running in the always sleep setting.

My battery has been like that out of the box. If there's improvement it's minor cause I don't notice it. I always have around 96% battery when I wake up. So far I only need to charge during the day on the 1st day cause I was setting it up and playing with it. Other days it can last well into night with average 5 hours sot. But it can get slightly less when I'm on data most of the days.

Did you install Samsung dex by accident? It uses quite a lot of battery. I don't have it preinstalled.

Edit : btw i don't use always on display. I use led indicator instead.

Yes I think he installed Dex by accident. Should just uninstall it since he isn't using it. Battery performance should improve.

I never used AOD. So i went samsung and they just format for me then asked to use normally for 2 days. Hopefully can get better....as for Samsung dex its apparently a system app if you check the apps list. Oh well....just hope battery better or get replacement lol. Thanks for your answers. Will update.

I believe what you said is true. I'm getting dex drain both on my note8 and s6e+. What else can it be if not android system?

Samsung dex is part of the Android system. But from your Gsam, it shows that Samsung Dex = Android system? That's so weird. Could be a glitch. Anyway, let assume your Gsam report is correct. The real culprit is Samsung Dex. Then go to the app settings, find the Samsung Dex and force stop it. See if this will stop the drain or not.

Come back and report to us the outcome. Then we go from there.

Most retail shop have MST terminals. Those listed on the Samsung Pay site are those official partners. Many more not listed but support the feature. Just ask politely with a smile and they will obliged you most of the time.

If you ask cashier whether support Samsung Pay, most will ask "Apa itu Samsung Pay", haha..

For those who want to use Samsung Pay, as long as the merchant support Pay Wave, then you can use Samsung Pay for the payment.
*
but sometimes even no pay wave.. SPAY can also use the MST terminal.. yet they dont allow because they see it as "pay wave" or "mobile payment" so they die die dont let you try sweat.gif

or maybe im just unlucky sweat.gif

tap it near the sliding terminal (around that MST sliding panel area where they will slide our card there)

to be honest, if samsung pay is a legit way to pay

the banks or media should let the public know that it is an acceptable alternative way to pay

here still not many know what is mobile wallet payment if you ask me sweat.gif

all still see a physical card = the only correct way to pay sweat.gif
