have u check your warranty, received mine and checked, warranty was dated 26 nov2017 to 9 dec 2018
my purchased date should be 14dec2017
sealed upon received, but i noticed that the box was resealed.
your warranty starts from date of purchase?
i wonder my unit is it returned set by previous buyer thus the warranty was registered on 26 nov
i will ask Lazada about this
*
Which seller did you buy it from? I've been looking at note 8 deals in lazada for the past week and what I noticed from reviews is that units that are sold by lazada or tesco are sealed and buyers have to register warranty themselves while units from other sellers are usually new units but unsealed and warranty already registered. But yeah, your registered date is quite far from your purchase date.

This looks awesome. 1st time I ever like a white phone. Even that black camera and fingerprint module doesn't bother me as much as the other colors. Too bad it's special edition.

I'm planning to buy this phone but not sure if I should wait a bit in case there are CNY promotions.

Parcel arrived! Poslaju surprised me this time.

1st time got to unseal and unbox a phone. Lol. Usually those samsung guys do it for me. Hopefully phone is ok. Hands itchy but in office can't really enjoy unboxing. Haha

Guys, for AOD the clock & info isn't suppose to be moving? Mine just stay in the middle of the screen. Any burn in issue later? Also how to get just black background in AOD? Mine got the live wallpaper dots. I can't find way to turn it off.

I also like the free case by Samsung but the clear case is a bit messy and cannot tahan can see dusts in it. Lol. I'm looking for similar thin casing, black colour with buttons cutouts. The closest I found is ringke slim.

nillkin TPU if you are using midnight black

get the black TPU lol

looks good and makes the phone looks stealthy as hell!!

haha im using it

just hopefully darker TPU will go yellow at a slower rate

but i remember i saw a much more darker TPU

planning to go this weekend and check it out again to make sure
*
Still looking for options. As long as they are not thick or bulky or clear. I rarely use case with my phones but this one is too big for me to feel comfortable using without one. Also clear cases can still look greasy easily that's why I prefer the matte type.

Btw quite lucky I started bixby from beginning to collect the rewards points. Two more transactions this month to upgrade to silver. Lol.

then u can consider the nillkin TPU for minimal protection but yet still remain the intended design of the phone to be shown nod.gif

im using it

so far have been very careful... but i also bought the screen insurance just in case
*
Yea. Just minimal protection without adding too much thickness to the phone. Haven't bought the insurance though. Haha. Thinking maybe screen crack insurance only.

QUOTE(Theoutspokenguy @ Jan 25 2018, 04:16 PM)
That not the hard part. Getting silver very easy but to get 50 a month is quite tough

*
Not really much of an issue. I've been using spay with gear s3 since it was available. Just change to phone and need to use a bit more to get to 50 a month. My only issue is RHB debit only allows up to 30 wave transactions. Then need to reset with pin. Rugi 1 transaction. Lol.

when you got your note 8?

the screen insurance can only be bought within 30 days of your purchase date or after IMEI registered
*
Just got it 2 days ago. Lol. Need to buy quickly.

QUOTE(Theoutspokenguy @ Jan 25 2018, 04:42 PM)
Get Maybank or CIMB. I am using Maybank.

Quick buy your glass insurance. My friend s8 didn't buy within 2 weeks glass cracked. Can't buy the insurance because the outlet want to inspect your phone first before allowing you to buy. Replacement cost about 1.2k quoted

Here a reminder
*
Yea. Need to get it quickly. Hopefully nothing happen between today to the day i buy.

I only use debit for spay. Cimb only can use credit card so my cimb debit cant use. The only other debit I have is rhb with that restriction. Also rhb only allow 1 device per card so I can only register to either phone or gear. Personally I prefer to pay with gear as it is the most convenient but samsung rewards is priority now. Lol. Hopefully they'll offer gear vr again.

When we take picture with live focus, the phone will save both close up & wide angle pictures. Is there any way we can delete the wide angle without deleting the close up?

I wish i can wait until 1 month too to register but quite scared. Lol. I want to buy the insurance quickly so I don't have to worry about not using sp or tg. Never used or liked using them. If got insurance then can worry less. Haha.

Eh? Can do that?

Im sure Samsung can see when is the first time the IMEI detected a sim card

They may give plus minus 1-2 weeks for the benefit of the doubt

Not sure if its like this cuz if not people might just purposely register warranty a few months later laugh.gif
*
Can buy insurance up to 1 month after warranty starts. Just that dont know what can happen within that 1 month if wait too long to buy the insurance. Just now my mom just stepped on my phone. Lol. Scary sh*t this phone. Buying screen crack insurance today or tomorrow.

What's the cause of this actually? Phone dropped or bumped onto something and case didn't manage to protect? Or case too tight? Or you change cases too often? That's really an eyesore for an all black device. Anything you do to cover it? I don't think service centre can do anything, no?

anyone of you here, claim this? (scroll down to samsung users special)

Wah. Thanks for the info. Can get 20% off for warranty / insurance. I've read the T&C and I think there's no mention of need to buy on the same day the phone is bought, right? Just that within 30 days of purchase is eligible.

Got my case today. Finally settled with spigen thin fit. Much more grippy compared to the free case. Thin, light, buttons cutouts, everything that I need. I don't really like to use case but this phone is too big for me to baby like my previous phones. Lol.

I don't think I'll be using SPay when refueling as I'm using shell and doesn't seem like they want to do anything paywave. All need physical card. But in RHB FAQ for SPay, they have this disclaimer :
*For safety reason, Samsung Pay will not work at the Petrol Self Service Kiosks.

Hi guys....I just got this phone a week ago. So far my standby time is pretty bad. I don't have screenshots right now but I using EXKM app and it's like more than 1% per hour drain. (WiFi or data also same). Everything off (Bluetooth, location etc) just either using WiFi or data. Worse when on data. AOD off.

Is this normal? Does anyone have bad standby as well? Wondering if I should ask for a replacement phone ...thanks
*
That's odd. I got my phone almost 2 weeks ago and battery performance has been solid. Standby overnight with location on, wifi all night, I lost about 1% every 2 hours.

I went to the new Samsung SES store in Pavilion this evening to buy the screen crack warranty with 20% off. Turned out warranty counters are not open as per usual mall operating hour. When I went there all counters were off-duty and when I asked one of the assistants there, at 1st he said until 8 o'clock, but then he checked his watch then said until about 7 o'clock like that. It was 7:30 pm that time.
