Hi guys....I just got this phone a week ago. So far my standby time is pretty bad. I don't have screenshots right now but I using EXKM app and it's like more than 1% per hour drain. (WiFi or data also same). Everything off (Bluetooth, location etc) just either using WiFi or data. Worse when on data. AOD off.
Is this normal? Does anyone have bad standby as well? Wondering if I should ask for a replacement phone ...thanks

QUOTE(aaron80 @ Feb 3 2018, 11:23 PM) besides of those that you mentioned, you need to check all the apps installed in your phone too I did... I don't think it's any app problems though. Social media apps I only have Instagram, Twitter and WhatsApp. Then some Google apps... Waze, Spotify and Reddit

QUOTE(singgung @ Feb 3 2018, 10:42 PM) That's odd. I got my phone almost 2 weeks ago and battery performance has been solid. Standby overnight with location on, wifi all night, I lost about 1% every 2 hours. Hey thanks for the reply. May I know what apps you have on your phone? And your battery out of the box good already or like after a week or so? (Cause I read it takes some time to optimize..)

QUOTE(Xaser_3 @ Feb 4 2018, 12:32 PM) Your SOT seems kinda low with 35% juice left assuming you started with a full charge. On average, I am getting 5 hours of SOT with my Note. I don't use Samsung Dex, so I won't know if it's consumption figures are normal but it seems to utilize quite a bit. Other apps appears to be normal. Yeah that's the thing. It's been pretty inconsistent with SOT. Mainly cause of the bad standby. Usually when I use the phone it drains slowly. But today it just started draining badly even while using it. Super weird ughhhh . (Combined with bad standby as well) I have no idea what Dex is it just appeared out of nowhere and idk how to disable it. Maybe I'll go to Samsung if they can heck my battery or something.. :/ thanks.

QUOTE(Xaser_3 @ Feb 4 2018, 01:07 PM) Yes I think he installed Dex by accident. Should just uninstall it since he isn't using it. Battery performance should improve. Google what samsung dex was apparently just Gsam reporting wrongly. Actually is android system? But anyways...samsung dex is system app and got no way to disable also? At least from what i check

QUOTE(singgung @ Feb 4 2018, 01:01 PM) Just the usual apps. Facebook, ig, twitter, whatsapp, those Google apps, waze. I switch on traffic information notification to work from Google in the morning. I disabled the Microsoft apps and put most of the apps that I don't need notifications or running in the always sleep setting. My battery has been like that out of the box. If there's improvement it's minor cause I don't notice it. I always have around 96% battery when I wake up. So far I only need to charge during the day on the 1st day cause I was setting it up and playing with it. Other days it can last well into night with average 5 hours sot. But it can get slightly less when I'm on data most of the days. Did you install Samsung dex by accident? It uses quite a lot of battery. I don't have it preinstalled. Edit : btw i don't use always on display. I use led indicator instead. I never used AOD. So i went samsung and they just format for me then asked to use normally for 2 days. Hopefully can get better....as for Samsung dex its apparently a system app if you check the apps list. Oh well....just hope battery better or get replacement lol. Thanks for your answers. Will update.
