Yeah went to branch and the lady told me jz apply online, so I did it in front of her and tagged my debit card to the Smart Account.
But the RM1000 still got deducted from my Basic Savings Account instead of Smart account.

My Basic Savings account doesn't have enough balance when I did the transaction, and transaction failed,
hence I had to move the money from Smart to CASA then only deducted from CASA,
now not entitled pulak, really headache if need to go branch jz for that linkage to Smart, the queue damn long and slow here and 3pm tutup kedai.

Always had QMS installed, didn't know RHB is now using that too, thanks for informing.
Need to fill up a form to have Smart Account tagged as Primary Default account, after it is processed, you can check from ATM, Smart Account will be listed as the 1st option instead of CASA (withdrawal/balance), then need to go to Others > Others > ATM debit card option > Activate Card Not Present, baru debit card online transactions boleh deduct from Smart Account

I have OCBC 360. Only get to use 2 pillars (no OCBC credit card).

But I have a RHB credit card that uses RM1k/mth. Worth switching to a RHB Smart Account?

I also already have a zero fee basic savings account with RHB. Will I need to pay annual fees with a Smart account? Can I link my Smart account to my savings account?

🤔 you can get spend pillar if you use OCBC debit card which is linked to OCBC 360 account tho? That's how I gain my Spend bonus.

Smart Account is current account, you can't "link" it to a savings account.

I just opened RHB Smart.

Hope sifus here who can share your experience re below questions.

The RHB officer and/or CS seems to give me conflicting answers vs what I read from whatever info I can gather online.
Maybe the info I gather is out-date or I misunderstand.

Pay bonus -

1)payment made via JOMPay is ok?

Officer says, JOMPay tak qualify for this category while TnC seems to say boleh

Intent to pay TNB/Indah Water/ Celcom and other utilities

Spend bonus -

1) Can be combination of Credit card and debit card? eg RM400 credit card spend + RM600 debit card spend

TnC states Cr card "and/or" Debit Card. Officer says it's either one or the other.

2) I didn't find any exclusion for transactions for this category.
Intent to pay for my LHDN tax/ Quit Rent/ cukai pintu.
From what I read here, these will count towards Spend category?

3) There's no mention of number of transactions to be perfomed.
Should be ok to pay 1k in 1 transaction ?( kautim, keep card in drawer)

Office told me deposit in account should not go > RM100k or no bonus interests will be paid for the whole amount in the account blink.gif
( I am inclined to think officer is not correct )
My understanding is, the bonus will be paid for amount up to 100k , any amount in excess will not be awarded bonus interest.
It will not render the whole amount in account to be disqualified from the bonus interests, right?

Officer is badly misinformed 😅 best if you read the T&C provided by RHB from their website, that's the accurate one, details provided in clause 3:

1. Cant confirm
2. Count towards as its eligible spend, but for its cashback as card feature exclusion applies
3. No min/max number, just amount

And obviously u r right, its up to as with other banks..

For exceeding 1cent to 100,000.01 and not get paid ...i think all will be rushing to close account and call to fire the cs ..😅

Much appreciated.

RhB service is horrible.
Can't register Rhb Secure despite many attempts.
Now they tell me to do $9999 multiple times

The only other one doing this is StanChart.

Rhb Savers, JomPay to PBA bills not counted as bill payments, composed a message from inbox and they said will get back to me, see whether they can implement this.

Really plenty of room for improvements Rhb...

Seeing as this is a general thread not specific to any banks...mind clarifying which product you are referring to?
