The criteria very easy to meet.
1/ Transfer in min RM50 1 via IBFT from other bank
2/ Transfer out RM1 via IBFT to 3 different bank account
3/ Use their card to pay RM500 (can be used on ewallwts)
Radar. Instant free 4.1%

Yiu do know they have 3 branches in Penang right?
2 on the island,  1 on mainland.

Of course I know.
With experience of opening a saving account with Citibank was a nightmare, I don't want to spend my lunch hours in hunger to experience the same thing again.
I know it's easy to achieve but as I said earlier, I don't want to apply additional credit card or buy additional wealth management products in order to achieve high tiered interest rate.

Those criteria is monthly or 1 off?
Pretty easy, even if monthly can set schedule in advance
Plus instant transfer now most bank is foc

Does the card provide cash back 5% with no min/max spend on specific day?
Pay as in utilities bills? Or spending?

Debit card and say link it to BP. Delete the card when not in use?

On a monthly basis to get 4.1%pa

No cashback. But if you are topping up your ewallet is good.
Pay 3 bills = IBFT 3x into 3 different bank account.

I only use the debit card which has balance of few hundreds.
Since all these conditional high yield savings require few to tenth of Ks, there's a risk!
I doubt want to expose the risk.

I have a lot of credit cards.
If want cash back or other perks, better utilize those.

Better safe than sorry.

If you hate debit card, OCBC has this free basic credit card that gives 1% cashback for online transaction and 0.5% for others... it may not look much but...

Lets say you have 50k to keep in bank...
1/ base 0.5% bonus is ~RM20
2/ each 1.2% criteria bonus is ~RM50
3/ cashback 0.5% for RM500 spending is RM2.50

With monthly spending of RM500, you get RM52.50 bonus (10.5%), you can count this as cashback/rebate or whatever you want, and it is definitely better than most cashback cc out there

I do not hate debit cards.
I don't feel secured or comfortable of using debit card that ties to saving account with high balance.

URL: https://www.citibank.com.my/english/deposit...SavingsAccounts

Not really.
The base rate is 0.5%
The bonus rate is 4.38% capped at RM 30k is only meant for incremental fresh fund.

From an initial quick read, it looked interesting.

With another look, doesn't look like it: "higher than the previous month's".

For now, I'll stick to RHB Bonus Saver.

that's a way to beat it
month 1: 30k, earn 4.88%p.a
month 2: withdraw to ocbc 360, earn 4.1%; citi earns 0 takpe
month 3: put that 30k back to citi, earn 4.88%
rinse and repeat

Currently, there are many FD offerings at around 4.1% to 4.3%.

This "beat it" method with not earn much more. For RM100k, that's probably RM100 or so per annum.

The purpose of me scouting Conditional High Yield Savings Account is to replace 1-month FD for higher interest rate and fast liquidity.

The "beat it" method (thanks for the name) 24/7 offers accessibility, while FD, you will burn all the interest upon touching it

And, a dude told me that, HSBC perks at work has the similar trait for 5%, so rotating between these 2 accounts, will potentially make 4.94% per annum.

I'm not talking about accessibility.

My post was about returns (ROI), which works out to be roughly RM100 per annum. Accessibility is up to each individual to decide. Including whether "burning" applies to their individual circumstances or not.
