If you have this account and actually getting 3.6% on entire balance, then I will be so happy & thankful for your headsup  smile.gif  Normally, they give on a scale basis - which works out to 0.815% for the first 50K  sad.gif

NVM, I go to UOB tomorow & ask
*
Do let us know after this biggrin.gif
But based on UOB calculator, the rate is for entire balance -> https://uniservices1.uob.com.my/jsp/calcula...sav_deposit.jsp

If i read correctly, you must maintained the same balance or more than previous month balance to qualify for the interest, else u get... nothing?

"*Maximum Effective Interest Rate on the Stash Account is 3.5% p.a. at RM100,000 deposit, provided customer's Monthly Average Balance (MAB) for the current month is equal to or more than previous month’s Monthly Average Balance."

I only use the debit card which has balance of few hundreds.
Since all these conditional high yield savings require few to tenth of Ks, there's a risk!
I doubt want to expose the risk.

I have a lot of credit cards.
If want cash back or other perks, better utilize those.

Better safe than sorry.

If you hate debit card, OCBC has this free basic credit card that gives 1% cashback for online transaction and 0.5% for others... it may not look much but...

Lets say you have 50k to keep in bank...
1/ base 0.5% bonus is ~RM20
2/ each 1.2% criteria bonus is ~RM50
3/ cashback 0.5% for RM500 spending is RM2.50

With monthly spending of RM500, you get RM52.50 bonus (10.5%), you can count this as cashback/rebate or whatever you want, and it is definitely better than most cashback cc out there
