Guys, previously I was on 8Mbps Streamyx, then TM come and change to unifi router without change package. Now I got 9.5Mbps++ speed with new @unifi account.

But I noticed I cannot download/update games from Steam anymore. Any workaround?

Guys wanna ask if my house has more than 5 devices on wifi, will it make the modem gone crazy and suddenly whatsapp all webpage need reload and disconnect? Weird.. speedtest no problem

Im using tm provided apple tv lookalike modem

i am using 8mbps, i get average 8.4mbps DL speed.
It is ok to watch for 1080P youtube, but if watch blueray quality movie with my TV box or 4k on youtube, it keep buffering.

so now the new price for our package is RM69 for existing cust. no detail yet.

For non streamyx customer is at RM89/mth. Full details will be announced later.

From Sept, Streamyx customers need to pay only RM69 monthly for 8Mbps package

same here. will they force us to finish the contract only able to get rm69? btw, we are consider as existing customers, we should entitle the discount.

You know, I somehow got this sneaking suspicion that the bill might only be reduced after two more months (from end of Sept onwards).

Why? Cause I just received an sms bill from them for the month of July....and its still that usual price.

Hope that we might get an auto speed upgrade and an auto bill reduction....but I somehow doubt so....and would most likely require manual intervention.

I don think TM will ever 'auto' change our package price, until we follow up/asking them to do so....

4Mbps or 8Mbps in current day?

Are you all planning only to read static web pages and stream under 360p videos?

Might as well wait for Unifi Air next month or so which promises speeds like over 20M or so. Copper telephone is good as dead especially for landed homes. If you're living in high rise apartments or flats you still got hope with Gigawire or VDSL/G.Fast for short loops that connect to fibre switches/gigabit microwave receivers on the rooftop.

Locking yourself down with TM for another 2 years with such slow speeds will make you regret even more just to save a few bucks.
