U may still watch on stb,
1) get a used one or whole new
2) get them to activate another set top box credential for you, and u use that to login to your stb[1-time], i think the id activation is chargeable@rm27

*Hypptv everywhere and the hypptv u watch on decoder run on different credentials.

I think u dont have to bind your mac address and set vlan like unifi subscribers, since for streamyx, there's no separate bandwidth dedicated for hypptv streaming. Youll eat up ypur 8Mbps when u r streaming hypptv even from decoder.

Hello everyone, I was recently called and offered to have my Streamyx upgraded.

Previous Package Plan:
STX BLOCKBUSTER COMBO 8.0M (HE LITE) (BUNDLE) FREE SPEED UPGRADE (BIP)

New Package Plan:
ZERO ADV 30 + RUBY PLUS + FREE STD20 - RM130 (DISC RM69 PERPETUAL NC)

New Package Monthly Subscription Fee:
RM 130.00

I asked the customer service agent if I have the option to choose the 100mbps plan as it is also RM129. I was told however that the plan no longer exists and is now RM189 a month. Has anyone received similar kind of upgrade or told the same?

I was also told by a friend that I can request to be downgraded to the current 100mbps plan(RM129) that they have. He said the ADV 30 plan costs more and therefore I could be downgraded to a cheaper plan.

You mean I can just request to be placed under this RM129 plan? Or do you mean I have to cancel my current line and sign up a new line which is the RM129?

The current Streamyx line is under a relative's name and he is now a Canadian citizen. The last time he came back was almost a decade ago and I doubt he will come back just to settle this matter. So I am hoping I can just request to be switched to 100mbps for RM129 instead of having to pay RM140 for 30mbps...

Everyone please do your part by writing in to MCMC to complaint streamyx for their high price and also non coverage to fibre infrastructure for unifi services...Some of us still suffering from lack of choice due to no fibre services coverage.

MCMC is making a move by pressuring them already. I think we can write in mass complaint to MCMC !!! https://aduan.skmm.gov.my/ They will only keep quiet if no one write to MCMC.

8Mbps is slow enough, leave the STB box alone, don't need to collect it.
btw, if intend to use it at unifi later, u have to collect it.

Where do you live? West Malaysia? I was complaint to MCMC for so many times back to few years ago. My house in Sandakan, Sabah was finally got Unifi at last month.

Your current streamyx line is paying RM140 but why has 30mbps?

Yeah but the account holder isn't in Malaysia anymore so I can't cancel without him.

Thats what happen if u stay silent n nver keep track of latest offerings. They prey on your ignorance to leech as much as they could from u. When they realize u r trying hard to flick them off, then they wake up.

Guess wat, rm119 for 30M is still ridiculous, u can get 30M symmetrical some more from maxis at merely rm89 if u have the luxury and privilege. Of coz go tmpoint! U can hold some1 ransom literally! Ask 4 name and contact means. Ask to be transferred to branch manager instead if no authority. Insist a letter in black n white from branch manager that he/she will agree to get your demand filulfilled.

Ask yourself this question 1st, wat speed u need? How much r u willing to fork out? This is important!

there was unifi van with sat dish on the roof visiting my neighbour today. can i expect the unifi is coming for real or still coming soon?
