I was once a 8mbps streamyx subscriber. I used to check Lowyat forums daily to see whether other streamyx subscribers have been upgraded and feeling frustrated.

Instead of waiting for an uncertain streamyx upgrade which will still cost around the region of RM140 per month, I made the hard decision of giving up TM and went for Digi i150. It was only RM10 extra per month but I was able to get 130 mbps.

I was happy that I ditched TM and never looked back since. It was like one huge burden lifted off my shoulder. If one day TM gives a better deal, I will hop back again.

Why continuing waiting for a bride who has yet to deliver and who only knows how to enrich herself from you all these years?

It's kinda hard for me to camp at TM Point, and they don't operate during weekend except QCM branch. 30Mbps @ RM119 still not that cheap tho, I'm using 10Mbps @ RM99 but due to infrastructure limit, TURBO could only get 30Mbps or maybe 50Mbps if I'm lucky but still no confirmation given by TM whether eligible for TURBO or not. Hence no confirmation given whether the infrastructure able to support TURBO, they should give price reduction first while others are paying the same price but getting higher speed.

Anyone encountered high ping problem recently ? I having a hard time playing dota 2 and PUBG. Totally unplayable with 2k++ ping/ms.

U are in VDSL2? At least u already in 50Mbps while I still have no direction whether capable of 30Mbps and above or maintain at 10Mbps.
Since u already at 50Mbps if u are using VDSL2, request for price reduction instead and enjoy happily.

gosh, early this month my streamyx got free upgrade to 8mbps.
it was fine until early this week.

my games are lagging badly, some videos in facebook can't even play.
i blame the new ip range that i'm getting for my streamyx, i used to get 115.x.x.x or 175.x.x.x, now the ones i get is 100.98.x.x

no matter how many times i restart, i couldn't get out of it sad.gif

I have accepted the offer to be upgraded to 30mbps with no extension of contract so I'm allowed to cancel anytime since my previous 2 years contract under Streamyx has ended. And yes I have went to a few TM points / authored centers and also called the customer service at 100, with each telling me a different story/ excuse. But you're right, they might wake up when they know my patience is up. Thank you for the constructive criticism.

After complaining to MCMC about no unifi coverage and unfair streamyx plan pricing, this is TM's response.

TM is basically like "After our study, yeah you're right, we do confirm and agree with you that your place has no unifi, no plan from our side to bring unifi to you too, case closed".
Also, TM totally ignore the unfair pricing issue part as well.

Anyway, case reopened.

btw, I'm in Jelutong, too bad TIME has no coverage at my place yet.

Just realised this morning I got an offer to upgrade my streamyx, but I don't know what's the next upgrade will be, must be 10mbps. Just accepted it, looking for their response into this.

Nothing much TM can do due to no planning to upgrade the infrastructure for ur service area. But what can u demand is price reduction instead. U should emphasize ur concern on price reduction for snail speed but expensive subscription.

TM is not losing money from business, the final figure is negative because of "Impairment loss" of nearly RM1bil, ie devalue of assets - maybe TM devalued or wrote off some copper/streamyx/Webe infra, closure of some TM points etc. So their carrying cost is less now, then TM can afford to sell Streamyx/Unifi at cheaper price now onwards. It is just an accounting exercise. Not really a bad news for consumers.
