With Ferrari being useless as usual, I don't mind seeing Bottas winning the race.
At least it's 2 weeks until F2 season opener.

Good that VB could win again and did so in such devastating manner. Good race also by MV to beat the reds.
What a let down from Ferrari, not even a podium after all the hype during testing. Good that CL can match SV, he should have gotten 4th if not for the trip across the grass and team order. |

"What's the reason we stopped so early?" asked Hamilton on Lap 22. Five laps later, a worried Brit said: "I don't think I'm going to make it to the end of the race on this tyre."
Wingman role exchanged?! Hamilton to pit earlier to cover Vettel's threat it seems... This post has been edited by voscar: Mar 17 2019, 03:33 PM |

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Mar 17 2019, 03:16 PM) Good that VB could win again and did so in such devastating manner. Good race also by MV to beat the reds. Hell no... The usual tradition when Mercedes doesn't won the season opening, that season they've got challenged from opponents. With VB whom never won a race last year won comfortably big margin, this season could be repeat of Mercedes 2016 internal affairs. Others can't cope with their performance. What a bad season...What a let down from Ferrari, not even a podium after all the hype during testing. Hahahah for all that “speed” in pre-season, this was absolutely embarrassing for Ferrari. Not even a podium and 35 seconds behind a Red Bull at race end. Almost a minute behind Bottas.
Early days yada yada. Next few races if they can’t even be within 15 seconds of the Mercs, might as well kiss the season goodbye. Because we know how Mercs and even Red Bull are for their in-season development This post has been edited by 8sg9ft: Mar 17 2019, 04:51 PM |

Almost a minute behind Bottas. 15 secs?? That is still way too far! One of their cars need to be within 5-7 secs while both at least within 10 secs, otherwise it's over for the reds.Early days yada yada. Next few races if they can’t even be within 15 seconds of the Mercs, might as well kiss the season goodbye. Because we know how Mercs and even Red Bull are for their in-season development Our hope now is because Melbourne is a rather odd track which doesn't necessarily reflect the true pace yet. |

Well true but at least it's not Ham who dominates. If Mercs to dominate again, at least I still want some internal team battle with Ham possible to loose it like last time with Rosberg. |

First, I am super glad hamilton didn't win and bottas get to walk all over him by 20 odd seconds. Midfield seems pretty close with 5 different teams racing for 5th. Alfa confirming they are really a contender for best of the rest. Poor ricciardo never had that good a luck at home race but still sad for him and the fans. The renault has good pace. I dunno what happened to williams, I'd thought with the bottas deal they would've had better leverage by now. Finally wtf mclaren?!? I think it's time for zak brown to go. They are running out of excuses and people to blame.

Yeah, Paddy Lowe was supposed to bring back Williams with that swap deal for Bottas but alas he is now basically kicked out as probably the one to blame.McLaren has recruited some big names but they haven't joined yet. Hopefully they can steadily bounce back. Painful to see another historical great team to keep dropping down. |
