Did I hear correctly that Karun Chandhok mentioned Ferrari race engineers on both side of garage claiming both cars on the same strategy??? Even tho Leclerc on hard, and Vettel on medium?? Even new audience can guess that Vettel most probably going to stop again, while Leclerc targetting 1 stop only. And Ferrari pitwall decided to let them race ... can't believe it, if really got such miscommunication.
Ok, got safety car, got chance to catch Verstappen .... couldn't. Another season to write-off for Ferrari, I think; if this kind of decision-making and car development is 'slower' than Mercedes and Red Bull. |

QUOTE(6UE5T @ May 13 2019, 11:49 AM) They wanted to try CL on a 1 stopper but then realized it would not work as he had no pace and tires still won't last too. It's like a comedy of errors at Ferrari. 😓 That's what Verstappen commented on radio also, right? when the team told him that Leclerc is on hard, and most probably 1 stopping. It won't last. I was hoping Leclerc could at least hold on to 3rd place on hard since they got straight line speed, maybe Red Bull with DRS also harder to overtake ... actually, I didn't see when Verstappen overtook Leclerc after his 2nd pitstop before the safety car. |

I'm not sure about others; myself, although I'm a long-time Ferrari fan (since 1999), even if Mercedes is dominating, as long as the racing is close and many overtakings and uncertain strategies, I'll consider the race isn't boring. But like football matches, some are snoozefest.
Even if I don't want to see Lewis win another WDC, I've to admit he is one of the greats, especially in qualifying. This season, I rather see Valtteri Bottas win WDC if Ferrari & Red Bull can't catch up. Asides from a top team, usually I'll support another mid-field team and maybe an underdog team, depending on the driver or manufacturer. E.g. this season I like to see Renault to be best of the rest, coz maybe due to Daniel Alvocado. Alfa Romeo, I think can categorize as underdog, not really mid-field team but I like to see Kimi scoring points. So, if the race leader is way ahead, the TV director usually will cut to closer racing in the mid-fields. Plus, the commentators must be good. Hoping for better closer racing after 2021 major regulation changes. |

No lah ... they just pity Mercedes didn't get any points at own home race, and their 125th motorsport anniversary ... somemore, they've dressed up so nicely already.
They did gave LH 5 seconds penalty, but escaped the Safety Car infringement (not purposely driving slow, becoz of the slow pit stop to replace front wing). Next time in Monza, the stewards will favour Italian teams instead ... maybe. |

QUOTE(voscar @ Aug 1 2019, 01:38 PM) LH won't let Netflix use footage from German GP Then Mercedes should allow Netflix to film another time, maybe when/if LH won his 6th WDC ... unless VB, or MV & RedBull can do anything about it.https://www.gpblog.com/en/news/42617/lewis-...GBeHVTyIbiLxkts How irony Mercedes allowed Netflix to film their disastrous weekend. |

Was a seemingly straightforward race, until Bottas' car engine gave up. Ferraris slight touches, haih, looks like Vettel's mistake.
In the end, I'd prefer to see Honda get 1-2-3 .... too bad for Albon. Was thinking why would Mercedes pit Hamilton with few laps more, although it's under safety car. But hearing Lewis' explanation during post-race interviews, it makes sense. Hopefully the final race in Abu Dhabi in a fortnight will be very happening as well. |

Lewis got 5sec penalty ... dropped to 7th ... Carlos should get 3rd, but he's under investigation as well.

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Mar 27 2020, 10:00 PM) Astro should show classic F1 races during Senna's era against Prost, Mansel, etc., like they show classic MotoGP races. Astro getting their feed from Fox Sport/ESPN, right? Maybe they don't have the rights?F1 TV got archive up to 1981 season, but maybe not all races and maybe only Pro subscription can watch the full race. |

QUOTE(Matchy @ Apr 6 2020, 05:48 PM) Better than previous race. More real F1 drivers this time. Charles is beast! » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Watched it live ... ya, it's cleaner racing but somehow less exciting, maybe coz less chaotic. Plus Lando's PC got problem again ... he couldn't join and no LandoBot this time ... from screenshot of his Twitch stream after that, he uninstalled the game in frustration Too bad the game spectator mode can't do real-time replays ... or incorporate/intercut with Twitch streams of some drivers ... but on YouTube and other platforms, don't know Twitch will allow that or not. |

QUOTE(PowerSlide @ Dec 13 2021, 12:16 AM) im more to the punch up, horner vs toto one on one in front of the podium..F1 can stream it live just pay $10 lol Christian Horner :- Height=1.73m, Weight=68kg, Age=47think of it, without controversy and poor decisions both wont even end up equal at final race Toto Wolff :- Height: 1.96m, Weight=75kg, Age=49 ... sounds like Arnold Schwarzenegger (coz both Austrian) For sure, the 'Terminator' will win (fyi, I'm happy that MV and RB won WDC, altho ok also if LH won his 8th WDC, his & Merc fightback during last few GPs has to be respected; altho latter tracks do suit them more ... but somehow, MV finishing 1st & 2nd in all 2021 races he didn't DNF, except Hungary (9th, hit by Lando who was hit by Valtteri), felt he deserved the WDC title this season slightly more than LH) QUOTE(6UE5T @ Dec 13 2021, 12:48 AM) Yup agree Checo's defense was again top class! Actually if there's 1 thing that MV can still learn from SP is this, how to defend hard yet fair. From a tweet:- .... QUOTE(6UE5T @ Dec 13 2021, 09:12 AM) But but RB sacrificed SP many times for MV's WDC wor ... which admittedly is more glamorous title than WCC title ... maybe RB got enuf sponsors to offset the $20million(?) prize difference. Plus RB need to placate MV so that he won't consider other teams offer ... (really he'll stick with RB for 10 or 15 more years?? we'll see ... 6UE5T liked this post
