Mercedes can afford to test settings that might works on certain special conditions, because they already knew tge settings for the ideal conditions.

so the merc doing the ultimate sandbagging by creating the first PU (oil pressure) failure of the pre-season test, on Bottas' 1st outlap, without pushing or party mode. creating hype merc is now slow and not reliable? hmm that's interesting, haha.

Well reliability of course noone will play around in that area coz no point! But speed they may sandbag. Only time will tell if anyone is faster or slower comparatively but I won't read too much into testing times.

Final test, Ferrari still on top but just by a hair from Mercedes. So still anyone's game.

Kinda weird to see Mercedes topped fp1. Usually they would sand bagging. Seems also like leclerc might be able to beat bottas, even rb with honda seems quite fast. If TR also can beat mclaren, its like a pie to the face for them.
