Is there any way we can call M$ SG by ourselves, diagnose the dang problem & journey there for a 3rod replacemnt?

My friend tried to fix his 3rod by himself, but it didnt work.
Now he's so pissed he's giving up on console gaming for awhile.
The worse part is he's an ori user, just like me.

Well... you have to get a friend in SG to help you..
they have to get a SG phone no...
if you let them now that it is not in SG then mostly they won replace for you...
Remember a T&C... the console is not for outside SG/HK...
coz the sets is meant for that... if they know the warranty will be void!!!!
STill under warranty call them..
if not look for the guys here to fix it....

aiseh, the set flashed its 1st 3RedLights yest not 2RL, not 4RL, guess its inevitable? reconnected everything and it booted normally again (for now)

poor thing. its manufacture date is 01-June-06 ( i bought it much later, though) - still an infant w/o its 1st birthday. hang in there !!

Its possible to get another 3ROD. I fixed it myself and my console still 3ROD'ed under certain circumstances.

So, Is it better to buy a new 360 or a 3ROD'ed one since the chances or 3ROD'ing is 50/50. Any comments or info on this. Thanks again.

Well so far the '3rod again after xclamp' rate is low. Only 2 in LYN I think?

Anyway if you have the budget you might as well buy a new one.

no point purchasing the "bigger" hdd~. elite will suffer from the 3 Rods as well~

thanks thanks. i missed my x360 very much. last night playing until 2AM trying to finish enchanted arms and TDU. coz thinking of buying blue dragon and forza2. feel dizzy when woke up this morning to go to work. a lot of thing i need to catch up in x360 arena because i've not been playing for almost 6 months. must find additional financial resources to finance this expensive hobby. hehehe.

Ur Xbox 360 had died on you...
3ROD mainly for hardware failure... *depends on failure code also*
mostly here is the BGA solder under the GPU is not bonded to the MB already...
mostly that kinda case... we don really know what's happening...
but a few of them can fix this already... but some console cannot be fixed also...
