that is why Uber can only drive when there is surge/Boost, this way you earn the full fare as the 25% Uber Fee is offset either by the surge/Boost. Have to drive smart to maximise earning from every km of operating cost.

yeah I hate riders that dont show body language. Hello rider, please la ..u got driver photo, car model and reg. no. u can spot us easily BUT we driver got NOTHING. You expect us to spot you with just a name? At least when see us drive by ..wave hand or some body language like take a step forward, these really helps a lot for drivers.

have u experience rider that back stab you with low rating even the whole trip everything seems normal, friendly chit chat with rider, clean nice car, pickup, drive safely and arrive destination, everything's good and you give rider 5-star. Moment later check rating dropped. Dunno what the rider unhappy about.

The Uber rating system is a bit unfair to driver, rider can indiscriminately rate the trip. Once fetch a rider, he was alright nothing wrong but when arrived at destination, green screen show to collect additional RM5 outstanding. He asked me why? I replied nicely did you cancel any order after 5min? He said that was yesterday. I advice him nicely that if u wish to cancel make it before 5min else u will get a penalty. He paid and went off. Next thing I saw my rating dropped. Inilah kebodohan Uber rating system, can just simply rate even though driver-partner gave their best.

Very true. Been through. Done that. Super tiring mentally, physically and even the car is tired. Every 3 weeks send for service. Oh and that was before the upfront fare and low boost condition like now.

coz all the Uber cars 'bangau' in KLIA. They don't bother to drive in town. Uber killing themselves by using Upfront (but hidden from driver) fare system. So Uber is relying on newly recruited drivers to help them ferry the riders. But nowadays with Whatsapp and Facebook groups, newbie learn very fast when to and not to drive.

it does bro. Just don't understand how their rating system work. Say only the rating based of last 500 trips. But I notice driver rating drop the moment 1 rider give a low star. And it takes tons of 5-star to get it back by 0.01. bangwall.gif

Agreed. Uber most stupid move is Upfront Fare. Thanks to this, many drivers now can rest during peak hours.

either not enough or no drivers online during the after work rush hours, demand is high but no cars so their 25% moneyflies.gif coz no cars to answer those requests. Hidden upfront fare is the worst thing Uber ever implemented.

the old or experienced drivers are demanding and try to game the system, I guess Uber prefer to have new drivers that doesn't know much, easier to exploit them. The new sign ups never know before upfront fare, it was time + distance. They never know it used to be only below 5km for pick ups before uberFLASH came in, they never know ping actually show address unlike now is hidden until accepted. Boost used to be much higher and etc. So yeah new drivers are better than retaining the old ones. devil.gif

used to be dynamic but changed to compete with Grab's fixed fare. Uber still uses the same rate to calculate the upfront fare but then is way lower than Grab. Grab is RM0.90/km and RM0.20/min.

maybe for short trips the difference is minimal, this should explain why long trips Uber is way cheaper if you notice.
