Will do later.. once bloody tm upgrade the internet in my area.. at most 8mbps currently able to cater my hd streaming need.. able to stream vudu and movies anywhere without any hiccups
Dont put your hope so high.. the way I see it is astro now want to limit their app on non certified boxes.. heck, they even later will come out with their own new set top boxes with 4k, dvr, iptv, fixed broadband all in one

If they are half smart? They would know to do this. AFAIK, Astro folks aren't dumb... They are already paving the way legally. Making it a criminal offense and going after some sellers.. Not that it'll completely stop people from freely buying Vanilla boxes and side-loading some ehem service onto it.. . laugh.gif

That's y i never encourage people to subscribe to ehem ehem service.. i encourage them to subscribe legally.. any streaming service.. need astrogo? go find ur relatives/friends who already subscribe to astro, tong2 pay his bill, upgrade package then enjoy the astrogo channels.. some more it is official and legal.. u won't need to change dns, u wont have to complain streaming lagging here and there.. channels not working etc..

nowadays talking about android box is like a sin.. it is our fault as well.. this thing supposed to be underground.. but some of us too greedy freely promote "potong astr0 anda", "bayar astr0 murah2" things like that.. the funny thing, some people really smart boastfully tell everybody on the official astr0 fb page, that he is currently saving up because he now use android box, and subscribe to illegal iptv.. damn, so stupid.. you dont boast this kind of thing..

I couldn't agree more.. Couple months back, I already stop giving tips and ideas about such things. Especially since government has now made it public that it's a criminal offense.. Last time, common sense tell is wrong what.. But no pressure.. Bunch of us here, long time d we potong and you won't see any simply boasting. It's probably the younger just graduate from noob class that go around boasting about what they have just learnt biggrin.gif ..

Im also a big fan of staying legit as possible.. My Netflix account is at least 7 years old, I'm still paying monthly till date. And this is despite I know my way around the high seas.. brows.gif Why? Cuz they are offering excellent service for the amount asked. I pray (i know futile but we can hope) that Astro and the likes see this and adopt the same model too. Make live TV channels cheap and accessible for all at a monthly price. Sub and stop subbing when you don't want. Easy.. They'll still make a ton of money. Oh well, in the meantime.. I'm using AOTG as you suggested, not my account.. Pal shared with me.. he hepi, I hepi.. Channels work as intended and will be improved upon. As for sellers listing their items with preloaded ehem stuff? This one I already predicted years ago will get them in trouble and ultimately will make things harder for the average consumers. I say average cuz who know how, will still know how.. whistling.gif

Good that you mention these information, as it will add additional information to the judder problem. So the claim that judder is limited to lower end ATV DRM L1 devices, is proven wrong !

Something else is causing it.

Sorry to hear this.

Better let mecool users comment.

I can only say himedia q5pro, q10pro and tanix tx3mini, tx5max are fine for astrogo new version.

The rest, better let actual users confirm, not hearsay.

About v8.2.6, keep yr fingers crossed... come oct 1, things may change.

New AOTG found out lagging on these devices:

M8s Pro L
M8s Pro W
GT1-A
GT-Mini A
Mibox 3S/S

So far I have tested new AOTG looks good on:
GT1 Mini
TX6
TX3 Mini/Max

What I heard some low end CPU even with L3 will be struggling to play the HD channels as well.. can't confirm on it..

Recently bought Tanix TX6 from this Shoppee seller:
https://shopee.com.my/product/51365313/2581577937?smtt=0.0.9
Seller guaranteed Astro Go running on Android 9 version. So far working fine except some lag on live channels. Today I installed latest version 2.193.2/AC19.3.2/0163930 from apkpure.com and lag has improved, especially for live sports.

Hope this helps those looking for a reasonable price solution to run Astro Go. Cheers!

Lagging is considered fixed. The burning issue is now stuttered video, MiBox and ATV devices facing that. Different problem. Don't mix.

Maybe spent too much energy lighting up the led display. Also more memory and more storage require more energy to drive too.

I thought the latest beta improved performance on the MiBox.. No?

I quite disagree particularly with the last part.. No such issue on the Beelink GT-King and it outspecs it. I don't have enough data to completely blame that Allwinner SoC. hmm.gif And if it's not that, most likely it's just poorer hw design, ventilation and quality. The likes of the HiMedia Q10 Pro also has LED displays and the box doesn't heat up unnecessarily.

from the many reviews i have read n watched so far.... allwinner and rockchip boxes are the ones that get most "overheating" comments.

i really don't know as i don't have any of those.

but i can say same brand - Tanix - tx3mini, tx5max using AML are cool, stay cool whereas tx6 allwinner overheating has been reported repeatedly.

himedia and and some others use metal boxes, not plastic - heat dissipates better, never had serious overheating issues.

Oh yeah.. about the metal dissipating better.... So most likely, it could very well be that Allwinner SoC or when I think more of it... Could also be insufficient power being supplied during intensive tasks..Has been known to happen. One swaps to a more powerful brick and issues disappears. Perhaps TX6 owners can try that. Anyways, AMLogic has been doing a decent job. So as a consumer, I see no reason to ditch them for others just yet.. Well, unless Tegra.. biggrin.gif

Have used it over weekends almost whole day without issues so far. My Minix U9H also works with Astro Go, but the video has black bars at sides and bottom. When Astro Go starts in the Minix, get almost full screen, when click on video and starts playing, the black bars appear. Tried all settings, no change even with latest app sideloaded.

By the way, I have an Astro subscription at my parents' house which I pay for and using android tv box to get same channels at my house without having to get another subscription.

Cheers!
