All the time ok when you used the 8.2.6 version and older right ? So it was ok with 8.2.6 and earlier.

The new version isn't compatible and TM does not allow you to have root, you can't modify or upgrade anything. You can only give up and buy another box.

No way to fix it.. u must buy aotg compatible box (fully unrooted) to enjoy new astrogo.. new aotg not compatible with android 4.4..

shield is referring to nvidia shield.. the android tv box by nvidia..

What I heard is there is so called mod for 8.19.8 that disabled the forced update.. I am not sure since I no longer care about old aotg anymore.. the new aotg is much more nicer, and lot of movies,vods are now easily accessible..

What I heard from someone using this mod, it is working fine now on mibox s and androidtv smart tv, but certain channels can't be played..

I expect that this will be temporary solution, as come 1st October 2019, there is still possibility that any old aotg version 8.x.x will no longer works, regardless modded to bypass update or not..

Official v8.2.6 is dead.

I put back 8.2.6 modified on my atv TV, still works.

But i think u r right... come oct 1, this will die too.

Not a big issue for me.. i like astrogo direct on my tv for convenience... but have 3 other boxes that work fine.

The new app works well with chrome browser on pc windows, no problem, can even cast to tv with chromecast.

I did some more tests on my atv tv.

On atv tv, using chrome or brave browser which are non atv apps, returns a message this browser not allowed to use astrogo. Cant even install.

Using puffin browser which is an atv app, the app can be installed, get to home screen.
But when u play a channel, it returns an error.. not allowed, etc.

Conclusion... astrogo for now allows pc windows to work, but not any browser on atv tv. They have gone to great lengths to stop usage direct on smart tvs.

That's y i told mibox+smart tv users, brace for the worst.. find cheap box that support astrogo..

right now we can't have best of both world, except nvidia shield..

they push their update earlier than expected date.. i guess come nearer to that date, more update will be pushed.. i think beta is still working right?

It's a junk box.. Junk it and get a better box.... Tis the price you have to pay.. Mine's there unplugged doing nothing. I don't even trust it to act as a simple seedbox..

I try casting live sport from chrome desktop. Run fine for about two minute or so then there are weird shadows outline emerge.

Possibly due to lan congestion. Were there many users on the lan ?

does that happen with all channels, HD or SD, even VOD?

try casting a youtube video from desktop to mibox chromecast, see if same.

if problem only with astrogo, it probably means the app is not friendly with even chromecast in ATV mibox.

i can cast smoothly from desktop to my TV's built in chromecast.

Oh well.. We'll find out soon enough.. They've left the beta app run wild.. Collecting all sorts of info. What devices, work.. how, etc.. Ban hammer incoming..

Update to new AstroGo version on my x92..login page missing..why la?
Now i cannot login..do i need to do something..
It only appear login with FB which i dont have the ID..

Have you tried to clear data and cache ?

I did uninstalled the older version first then re-install back the ori latest version and the mod one.
Both also have a missing login page.
The login page is there a few second before it change to FB login page.

Since you are at this stage, what you can do is to try installing the actual original apk to see if has the same problem and see if it is related to the mod.

I think someone has posted the link of the original apk.

I hope improvement will be done so i dont have to replace my mibox 4..

Since mibox has no root, there is very little things you could try. But you can try to adjust the display Hz, eg from 60 Hz to 50 Hz, to see if makes a difference.

For those boxes which have root, I would suggest them to try a different webview, ie instead of using com.android.webview, use com.google.webview instead. Or they can edit the build prop to fake the box as a different box.
