Hi,
Sony is selling the display set for the Z9D. The price is slightly higher at RM8,999 with 2 year warranty.
What's your thought about it?
*
Make sure you test it kaw kaw with some test screens - white, yellow, red, etc. The reason I say that is because the few times I have been there, the Z9D display was stuck on the Hot air balloon scene, the video was like it was on pause throughout. I don't know why that was so, maybe the device running the video hanged or the TV's android hanged. So, test it to make sure that there are no permanent burn-ins. And yes, burn in is possible on an LCD screen although its usually just temporary image retention and not a permanent burn in.

Also, try to negotiate for a 5 year warranty. If they refuse, then buy their 5 year warranty, its quite cheap compared to other retailers.

Better grab it fast before someone else does.

FYI, I also saw a Samsung 65KS9500 display set at TBM Tropicana mall selling for RM10k. The set looks pristine.

Tempted with a sharp 440x old model for Rm3.2k but only 60". Any recommendation for 65"? No need online or Android stuff.

If you want the cheapest 65" 4k tv that is reasonably good, Sony X7000E or pay slightly more for the Hisense M5010 at Harvey Norman. Hisense comes with 3 years warranty and IMO its a better tv than the Sony X70E but their brand perception in Malaysia is poor and their price is not that cheap.

Where is the location of the shop? I will say it still worth consider even though it is a display set, Z9D is the LED TV that I love the most. I have a display set TV with me and it has been working perfectly fine, but do ensure you get 5 years warranty.

X9300E only have 55" and price is still 9k if I remember correctly. Better buy LG C7 for that price.
New QLEDs look promising but prices will be quite high.

I'm looking 55 only. Lurking in 65 inch thread 🤣🤣. The new qled or x900f 55 should be around 8-9k. I'm. Too afraid those thin OLED, afraid my sons will smack the screen and break it.

To be honest, I don't think VA panels are stronger than the Oleds. VA panels are easily damaged too from smacking. This is always a risk for parents with kids. I have seen some broken tvs on Mudah due to anak baling something on the tv and really kesian coz the tv is only a few months old.

That is true, I currently have a Samsung PLS (Samsung's version of IPS) tv that is very strong. Never threw anything at it but have tried pressing on the screen and its very tough.
Gonna be putting it up for sale now since I have upgraded.

LG is the world 2nd largest TV manufacturer, just behind Samsung. Of coz it is a strong brand. Whether to buy LG TV or not, it all depends on your requirements and budget. LG LED TV using IPS panel, you need to understand the pros and cons of such panel. LG WebOS is one of the best smart TV OS out there and the TV is quite reliable from my own experience.

Astro has got HD channels also, you still can appreciate the quality of picture after the 4K upscale.
Normally you won't think of good media player and UHD movies until you have got a good TV.
