I’m also in the market for 65inch TV.

UHD is about RM5k

Super/Premium UHD RM8k
LG 65sj850t vs Samsung UA65MU7000 vs Sony X8500e

OLED is RM14k and out of my budget.

Haven’t decided but with models being replaced now, they should be clearing stock now.

I understand prices may drop in April/May when new models hit our shores (in time for the World Cup).

I would think you would be able to get UHD for RM4.5k and SUHD for RM7k soon.

Any comments or suggestions.

Thks

Thinking of Sony, 65inch.

7000e vs 8500e?

RM4800 vs RM8000?

Worth the extra RM3k for 8500e?

Sony KD-65X7000E currently at SenQ and Harvey Norman is about RM4788.

It may drop to RM4500 next month to clear stock.

8500e is at about RM8000 now.

I agree that 8500e is probably worth RM2k more than 7000e but not RM3k more.

So ideally 8500e should be between RM6k to RM6.5k.

That would still put it beyond the reach of many but would be closer to a fair value considering it’s an outgoing model which is sold for less than that in US and Australia.

See https://www.harveynorman.com.au/sony-65-x85...d-smart-tv.html.

AUSD 1995 @ RM6000

See https://www.amazon.com/Sony-XBR65X850E-65-I...t/dp/B01N5UZ1RG

USD 1198 @ RM4800

The 2018 model in US is USD1998 @ RM6000

See https://www.amazon.com/Sony-XBR65X850F-65-I...=dp_ob_title_ce

So a fair price would be RM6000.

We are being ripped off in Msia

Any latest promo for 65” TV.

With GST abolishment, Raya promotions, World Cup promotions and clearing stock of 2017 models. June should be the best time to get a TV.

I’m thinking of a Sony 7000E vs 8500E.

RM5k vs RM7k

A good price would probably be RM4k vs RM6k

I accompanied my friend to Harvey Norman today.

He got a good deal on Sony KD-55X7000E 55" 4K Ultra HD TV, RM2544.

See http://www.harveynorman.com.my/tv-blu-ray-...ltra-hd-tv.html

I am still looking for 65 inch TV.

My choice is 8500E. In Harvey Norman, it’s selling for RM6744(including 5 year warranty).

Seng Heng is selling it for RM6744, with additional 10% voucher for next purchase. If you use Citibank credit card, you get 4 years warranty.

What do you guys think?

Harvey Norman vs Seng Heng. Which is better deal?

Thank

For the record Harvey Norman has dropped the price for 65 inch 7000E to RM4244 with additional 5% voucher for next purchase.

So basically there is a 2k difference between 7000E vs 8500E.

Is it worth the difference?

Thanks

Neither.

The Sony store in midvalley was selling it for 6299 w/5 years warranty.

Desa Home is selling it for 5999 now. Also with a 5 year warranty.

Which Harvey Norman.

I think that’s the best offer so far apart from Desa Home.

Could you please reply to my PM.

I managed to get 65" Sony 8500E for RM6099 from Harvey Norman.

Price difference between 7000E and 8500E is about RM2k.

I hope its worth the RM2k extra I paid for 8500e.

Delivery expected on Tuesday.

Seating distance is about 9 feet. But it feels a bit of a stain to the eyes esp on HD channels esp moving fro. A 46 inch tv which I had for 6 years.

Just wondering whether I should hv go e for a 55 inch instead.

Hopefully I will get used to it
