Adding this to let you all know what I did previously ....I just change my laptop LCD due to light leakage and yellowish for using it less than 2 mth. Last friday they sent me outsource engineer to change it for me.Unfortunately the new LCD got dead pixel and I able to see the tiny square pixel on the screen. So I go through online chat with the tech support again to request to change LCD again. Today they come to change the LCD again. This 3rd new LCD was awesome!! The yellowish is nearly gone !! Still got a bit if compare to desktop monitor but can adjust through adobe gamma/color management. tongue.gif Besides that, the LCD view angle become wider also. What a wonderful experience support by Dell. rclxms.gif

P/S:This time they bring 3 outsource engineer to check whether I go problem on my LCD. doh.gif

wow.so nice... the guy did said that all notebooks are the same, just the after sales service that matters morelor. oh yeah.abt the tax relief thingie, he said dell will send a hard copy (didn't mention when tho,jus said after i recieved my laptop).but all in all, i guess my SA was vr patient.but then again, all sales reps are (before they sell u the stuff,that is wink.gif)

are you referring to the hinge/LCD cover? it's a common problem for 6400 after frequent flipping up & down. repaired mine under CC few months ago. now abit loose also dy. biggrin.gif

hey.just wanaa ask la..
i have the 3 years cc plan.
if my pc breaks down or lcd break etc..
i will get replacement rite.
after that if it breaks again, is the warranty stil valid or it works only once.?

no worries, Dell will give excellent offers .. thats the worse thing actually, when u bought it.. then u will regret like hell becoz u can get better offer if u wait a few weeks yawn.gif

if i'm not mistaken, someone mentioned before, as stated in CC policies, the major components like lcd is only allowed to change once a year...?

so am i wink.gif a typical consumer eh

so far satisfy with the performance, avi convert to dvd takes ~60min; home-made video with length of 30min (after edited incl. many effects add-on) takes only 12min to compress/produce thumbup.gif

anyone tried GOM PC REMOTE CONTROL? Does it work well with 6400?
