FOR LCD Hinge , open it is only as easy as fingertip , i hav opened it last time in order to take out my keyboard for cleaning ....

To open it , juz take a screw driver , slot inside ,and take the cover out . Use a screw driver to tighten the screw , thats all , ntg more or ntg less

dont think too much on voidng the warranty . It is impossible to considered as voiding the warranty

processor and mobo is my definition on internal part . LCD NOT included .

Even ur spoilt ur own mobo and processor , juz call dell and tell them . claim ur limited warranty .

Unless u accidentally drop the whole LCD while u taking the LCD out FOR fun , then juz claim CompleteCover . Voiding warranty ? i tot Dell warranty is the covered all type of accident. Vod warranty ? no such thing for dell . whistling.gif whistling.gif whistling.gif

If u r so worry on the warranty , juz call dell and replaced a new 1 , thats all. Claim ur completecover

and all C2D system come wif CD sticker only.... no matter when u ordered it .

if you spoilt it by ur self, I think the dell onsite technician will know, accidentally drop and tear down damage there is a different. and limited warranty only covered for hardware failure/faulty but not for mobo/processor spoit! Just depend on the technician want to help you or report only. if they are very strict, this is not covered under warranty even complete cover and will charge you! T&C stated, self tear down need to bear your own responsibility. Dell is not stupid, if the casing is not damage why inside the mobo & processor damage if you're really accidentally drop the system? I heard before, if you're continuous non-stop claim for complete cover, will be flag as Integrity Issue, catch you.... sweat.gif sweat.gif

yup. agree with u. other brands seems to have better built quality. especially HP. Dell one seems plasticky. but still a quality notebook + great warranty service. rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

FYI, 6400 is the cheapest performance notebook u can get it the market for now. with RM3K+ can get C2D, X1400 & 120GB HDD. don't think other brands offer this kinda specs for that price. for that kinda specs, 6400 cost more than RM4K-5K last year, when i bought mine. cry.gif

used XPS for few days before. the LCD cover just seems more nicer with the black & silver accent. inside (keyboard & palm area) is just like 6400. plasticky too just that the keyboard keys is in silver, not in black like 6400. besides that, it's LCD cover has a nice locking mechanism. when we flip down 6400's LCD cover & 'lock' it, we need to push some sort of key to 'unlock' it right? XPS's one is without the key. when u flip it down, it will just lock by itself. hard to describe. u gotta check it out. smile.gif btw XPS is so so light. tongue.gif

Cooling pad u can try CM notepal. smile.gif
