I am honoured that you want to see my setup.  However I am still working out my Home Theatre layout with the designer, I am still not satisfied with her latest submission.  She did not incorporate a lot of the ideas that I gave her.... after all its my AV room right and it should be what I want.  Sumtimes, dun understand these designers, those very artistice ones are really egoistic.  She is redoing the design now.

I'll post a pic of my barebones AV room.  This will serve as a before and after caselah.
[attachmentid=216623]

I promise to post a pic of my completed AV room.....or maybe start a build diary for everyone's benefit.... Hows that sound?
(BTW shipal, not that I am a sifu or want to be one nor a shopowner.... But what are you trying to imply here?)
*
i think you should get a guy designer to do the setup for you, hehe, no offence..

anyway where is the centre speaker and what AV amp u using? well next time when u have your own bigger space u will probably have a better setup.

gold mund system starts at 300k US which is a whopping 1.2mil ringgit,, custom built to ur statisfaction.

If we all had loads and loads of moolah then needless to say we all also aim for the sky for our HT. But first must buy big enough house so you can build big enough dedicated HT room biggrin.gif. Then only look at the equipment...

USD300k? That's cheap compared to this.

this setup very messy lah, last time HT kaki i think he got post b4

just the setup is expensive, but no nice environment mah, cozy feeling,

i was planning to get either psb or paradigm. in the future, probably i be like you, plan and save, and then go all out, dont want to be half way half way,

good idea, once and for all yeah

My room isn't ideal too, being too long.

10' (W) x 20' (D) x 8' (H). Still trying to improve acoustic treatment.
*
its a little too long, against the width, twice its size. but if you are just merely watching movies, i think it is ok, i have seen many designs on magazine and also internet, most of the design are long, acoustic treatment is important, then again, in watching a movie is different from listening to stereo.

stereo requires a more strict sound staging. as we are all aware, watching movies is more of a kick and punch rather then having great sound stage,

but of course some of us do listen to stereo, in the same setup, thats where room size is important.

i love your items in the setup, but i wanna ask one question. when you are watching movie or listening to music, which speaker are you using ? so many of them there,

not to condemn your setup, i think it is really nice, but if you spend a little bit of time rearranging those items you have will look very very nice,

it be perfect i think, some cabinet would help a lot there, stack those equipments nicely and then clear up those mess, then take a picture and post it, hahaha, after that you can return back to the same

very very nice, a lot of items there rizzo8, perfect, where is the centre speaker, behind the screen ? and also where did you place the sub and how much is hsu research

the only thing is the listening width, i mean the door is really annoying, cause that is the max screen that you can have, not bigger, sad, anyway i think it is still great, plus very nice equipment rack u have there, salvage from what originally ?

if wanna stick whole room how much?
*
you stick the whole room it becomes a acheonic chamber.

then the sound will really change, probably u loose a lot of bass, and sound very tight and quiet,

due to less reflection in the room

plus only the TV and surround spk and center spk and Amp is bought by me, the other was fomerly from old pc subwoofer and also my dad old speaker.

the setup only very cheap cheap , not expensive, not so rich to buy high end stuff to listen, kef coda ok lah. sonic gear center spk ok lah, very good indeed, but dont look down on the compaq sub, something that you can never buy anymore, cause no more in the market, i got it as a 2.1 spk for 150 each, no more loh,

there goes

Ok here is my setup. It's not great at all. Not even HT standard yet. Will be upgrading in the near future. First step will be the Marantz 6004 should I get my way.
