Saw something new last weekend ..Sony HTSF-2300.. 5.1 THiB that support Multiple LPCM ...RPP1999
Anyone tested this?
*
Yup, seen that. Very cheap considering it's got 3 HDMI in, and accepts multi-channel PCM. Listened to it at KLCC Sony Style, not bad. But it's not real HTiB, because it's not a disc player.

So those who already have a HDMI DVD player, this will be a good match. It is especially a good match for PS3 too, by accepting multi-channel PCM you'll get to hear lossless audio because PS3 already decodes everything for it.

Very recommended for PS3 owners who never gonna get separate components for your home theater. thumbup.gif

is this model listed in sony website?
*
Not yet. The website always slow. I bought something new last year, I can't even register online because they're not listed yet. I have to call them and the next day it's online.

I highly recommend this for PS3 owners. biggrin.gif

Finally watched TDk last week, after being blackmailed by my mob friend (he gave me an offer I can't refuse, laugh.gif ). My God, ever since I know blu-ray, I'm impressed with the black level, even with my LCD, now imagine a plasma.

The projection at the cinema was really bad. Blacks become gray, the dark scenes were just terrible. It's a shame seeing that for such a great movie. I came back and compare again with the 6 minute preview on the Batman Begins BD, no where near. The preview is one of the best PQ I've seen on BD.

So, my question to the projector owners, how's the black level? Is it a non-issue with the modern HD projectors?

yah and may i add, how is fast motion displayed?

That too. Especially on big screen with interlaced 1080i/60. I guess it can be reduced if the projector supports 1080p/24. hmm.gif

Not Ducati la ... Juz a normal Sandisk 4Gb to store MP3 thru my Pioneer DV-410V to play
I noticed that my AVR play certain MP3 (320bps) with better quality than CD's wav files !
*
I think the CD quality is only 128kbps, that's why 320kbps MP3 should be better than CD. Can anyone confirm this?

Yup, seen those pics a million times. laugh.gif

Even if I have 6 million to spare, I won't go for that, that's overkill. I don't even want floorstanders in my setup, bookshelves all the way. biggrin.gif

Nice! Somehow it's rare to see Klipsch users here, there are more on PC speaker nowadays.

He! He! Not yet... didn't manage to take any photo. Strangely... Mezzo Manual itself advises us to run in the speakers.

Connect different polarity for 1 speaker, face each other at a 10cm distance and run for 36 hrs. Hmmm....
*
You can do that. However, you can also just listen to normal music at low volume a few hours a day, but this way it will take longer to burn in.

I was impatient to listen to my speakers at it's real performance, so I used the reverse-polarity face-to-face method. biggrin.gif

Speakers need burn in because of moving parts and the driver cone material maybe too rigid straight from factory, but not the cables.

Not only for Model Mezzo, but all MS models. I bought the Avant centre 905i and the manual also says the same thing for all Avant speakers.

I doubt why we have to put them face to face. Cant we just play it like normal position for 36 hours? Kind of strange....

What about Sub? How to do run-in issue? Play soft music for few hours a day? Do we need to crank-up the sub volume a bit high than the front speakers coz while we play soft volume, the sub only works a minor, maybe not enough for run it in.........
*
Face to face only if you leave it running while you're away. While face to face with one speaker reversed polarity, the sound will cancel each other so it will be almost quiet.

Like I said, you can also listen to music at low volume few hours a day, only it will take longer. It's totally up to you.

FutureShop is having a sale for QED cables.

http://www.futureshop.co.uk/promotion2.php

Just use the Royal Mail shipping, only £7.99 for the first 0.5 kg I think. It will arrive in 7 days, it will need signature to receive the package so it's quite safe. Once I ordered totaling RM800, there was no tax, maybe I was lucky.

Also, there's a useful Cable Wizard on your right to help you choose your cables if you're not sure which cable to get. thumbup.gif

Hi bro Aiman, how will they tax you ? i mean how to pay the tax laugh.gif
Its 25% tax ?
*
I've ordered from FutureShop a few times, non of it was taxed and arroved safely within 7 days. I think it should be safe. biggrin.gif

If it's taxed, the customs will call you, I think you have to go to Sepang to pay or negotiate. But I don't think they even bother to check the envelope with cables inside.

Wow! Large number of orders from Malaysia?! shocking.gif

That should just mean good business to them. I can understand if one person orders too many of one type of cable, but these orders come from many different persons.

I can write to them and explain if you guys want, and maybe give them the link to this forum? hmm.gif
