Well.. If you want cakap cakap as priorty.. It will be better to sub to unlimited calls plan.
Unless of course you sub to All Unlimited plan where data/sms/data all in.

To me.. Data is always priority as I cakap cakap less.
I rather use Whatapps.. Wechat.. Facebook as cakap cakap as most of us use it as daily communication.

I believe there will be alot of people that fall into this 500+500 cakap category, not everybody need unlimited voice. let say average i'm using voice 300minutes permonth. with xpax 0.30c per minutes, how much do i have to top up? RM90 excluding the data. But that will be just me..

AMB38 comes with 1,000 free voice minutes. It's not split 1:1 between DiGi-DiGi and DiGi-non-Digi like its prepaid.

In my case voice call is just as important as data. I dislike people who send me a WhatsApp message and expect me to reply him/her immediately. If it is important please call.

Something happened yesterday evening and it proved how important or relevant voice call is. My friend sent me a WhatsApp message asking me if I would like to join him for a movie. I said yes and I will buy the tickets. But the line was very unstable and despite having 4G connection and 4 bars on my phone, I couldn't load the internet webpage at all. WhatsApp didn't work too as it kept showing it was trying to connect. Didn't waste my time and call my friend right away.

Outgoing call on Maxis 132 to Hong Kong is just RM0.08/minutes. It is super affordable. Local telco imposes such high voice call rate on prepaid as they want you to switch to postpaid if you want to enjoy a lower call rate.

The Voice is ONLY important and relevant when you need it in emergency as in your case..your whatapps become unstable.
Voice call to me is useful when i NEED it....that all

Most of the time...we are on 24hours on Instagram..Facebook Live...Wechat....Whatapps.
Heck even dealing with my titanium heaters supplier from China also in wechat or whatapps..
Do i call them using IDD even though it is cheap...Hell No...
Coz at least in wechat/whatapps got black & white in case need to refer back.

the main question is...how much unlimited local to all telco you use?
Maxis 132 aka IDD doesn't include inside Unlimited call...right?

With the current trend even the older generation also getting on the bandwagon
it is inevitable that smartphone need data to operate.
use little or a lot of Data is depending on user pattern of usage.

if you happy with minimal 500mB monthly...then XOX/OneXOX is the good option with 28 month validity

then if you don't mind pay upfront RM200 for a year....mean estd RM17 for 20GB monthly
go to Tunetalk but caveat after finish 20GB monthly...it will be PAYU
Have option to buy 1500mins for rm30 monthly (to all network) also

and the list go on

Agreed, in the end there's no plan suit for all. It's just the matter you get what you need or you get what you want (in the end underutilized).
Me myself opt for AmbZero + weekly 3gb subscription for me, and AmbZero + AmbBB70 for my wife. Monthly only RM100+.
I just call when needed, and surprisingly only cost less than RM20 per month. So unlimited call is not my need.

Not all users have the same pattern. I use about 20 to 30 minutes per day to call my mum. She is illiterate and use a simple clamshell phone, where she can just open the phone to pick up calls. So whatsapp, wechat is out of question.

As such, my total usage per month between 600 to 900 minutes. 3GB internet is enough because I have WiFi at home and at the office. So amb38 really suits me very well.

Not quite so. It is not only useful during emergency but for day-to-day use too. Until today most people still don’t respond to WhatsApp right away. And when you need an answer urgently, to call directly is the only way to go. Call is also important to those doing sales such as bankers, property agents, insurance agents etc. I also think it is important to those doing part-time Uber and Grab. I’ve been in situation so many times that they want to save money by not calling me when they can’t locate me. So they sent me a WhatsApp message or a message within the Uber/Grab app itself. But there were a few times I didn’t get the message as there the internet was unstable. In such situation they could had called me but they didn’t. So my biggest problem with people doing sales is that many of them are willing to spend so much money on data yet they are not willing to spend money to get a good call plan.

No it doesn’t. I don’t need to make an IDD call often but when I do, it is to call banks in Hong Kong or Singapore. And IDD 132 is the only way to call these banks cheaply.

Ya, you're right. Seems like indirect way force you switch to postpaid.
But I guess not many people like to pay "GST". (Sorry, I don't want let government earn duit devil.gif )
Some-more if use postpaid, some of people prefer prepaid because easily to know your spending limit.

Commitment is the most of people will become high pressure one.
Since telco data already breached last month, nowadays no safe anymore.

If suddenly comes out with bill shock so high, it will make somebody "heart attack. shocking.gif

You can't. However, if you are changing to postpaid, the credits can be used to offset your payment.

Those can accumulate topup balance more than rm50 mean the user rarely call or sms or internet.
Getting postpaid is nono as the cheapest in the range of rm30..
Postpaid forcing user to commit rm30 monthly.

It will be better for this type of user to get XOX with 28 month validity.
Only use minimal 500mb if needed

Can ask them subscribe super terer.
The plan extend the number active period one.
For example, number active date till 19 dec, subscribe super terer, ur line only be expired on 18 jan.
Unlike other plan which need top up to make the number active and use the plan.

Plans with unlimited voice calls are definitely more pricey. It might be seen as a prestige, meaning a person could afford a more expensive plan.

I don't know about you, but I think there is a perception that people who use whatsapp call to call others, are tying to "save" money.... and perception is important in business.

Of course, if you call to chit chat with family and friends with whatasapp, then it's ok. But for work related, I think voice calls are still relevant and important.

It's like people who use prepaid and postpaid - got perception one among business circles. You won't want your customers to know you are using prepaid
