Hotlink new RM60 internet pass probably gives a better overall value compared to DiGi Ambassador 68 now.

The new RM60/month auto-renewable internet pass comes with
- unlimited calls
- 8GB all-day data
- 8GB weekend data
- 1GB data which you have to redeem manually everyday and it is valid only for one hour everyday (a total of 30GB a month)

And if you are on Hotlink Fast EC/EM plan, you will also get 1GB larut malam data which is usable between 1am - 7am everyday. This larut malam pass only works in Sabah, Sarawak and the East Coast.

I can't check now as my only Hotlink number that is on Hotlink Fast EC/EM was ported out a few months ago. But from the flyer I saw at Maxis Centre in Kota Kinabalu back in mid September (before the new internet pass was introduced), Hotlink Fast EC/EM had the same monthly internet pass as the standard Hotlink Fast plan.

The name is DiGi Postpaid 50 Internet Lite. It comes with 3GB all-day data + 7GB data for Facebook and YouTube + unlimited calls to all network for only RM40/month. Still available as of today.

If will charge to the person who calls you, unless you’re on a roaming service in a foreign country. That is why I disabled my voicemail service with DiGi already.

Yes you will get charged. But if you are using an unlimited call plan then the voicemail charges are included in your unlimited call plan already.

AMB38 comes with 1,000 free voice minutes. It's not split 1:1 between DiGi-DiGi and DiGi-non-Digi like its prepaid.


In my case voice call is just as important as data. I dislike people who send me a WhatsApp message and expect me to reply him/her immediately. If it is important please call.

Something happened yesterday evening and it proved how important or relevant voice call is. My friend sent me a WhatsApp message asking me if I would like to join him for a movie. I said yes and I will buy the tickets. But the line was very unstable and despite having 4G connection and 4 bars on my phone, I couldn't load the internet webpage at all. WhatsApp didn't work too as it kept showing it was trying to connect. Didn't waste my time and call my friend right away.


Outgoing call on Maxis 132 to Hong Kong is just RM0.08/minutes. It is super affordable. Local telco imposes such high voice call rate on prepaid as they want you to switch to postpaid if you want to enjoy a lower call rate.
