OMG! That price is awesome! Grab!

Bought 2 pcs of 500GB from Amazon last July for RM650 each including postage+tax.
Now it's like RM200 off, making it more attractive than the Samsung 970 EVO that has 20GB write limit.

despite this being a great price I believe the newly launched SX8200 Pro (512GB ~450RM) is the better choice for most of us.

usually the final pricing at amazon being charged includes import charges (just refer the last step when ordering, they should be listed).
so if you see those; no there should not be any hidden charges.

oh edit... unlike your item emits wireless signals (bt, wifi,...) and requires certification by srim. but that's not the case for your ssd.

Why your Amazon 1TB 860 EVO costed RM30 more after convert? you pick "SSD + Mount" option?

This is Samsung 1TB 860 SSD only price at amazon including shipment and import fee.
user posted image
total ~RM598 after convert.

Heard that cyber monday going to get cheaper. Not confirm.

So much poison... I am also debating between getting

Crucial MX500 1TB for RM721
https://www.lazada.com.my/products/crucial-...s617148716.html

or

Samsung 960 EVO NVMe M.2 500GB for RM790
https://www.lazada.com.my/products/samsung-...s638123853.html

I don't mind Crucial MX500's 500MB/s, 1GB DRAM and 1TB capacity, but tempted by the 960 Evo's 3200mb/s read speed (but description page was for Western D??)

i got 850 evo 250gb and mx500 500gb both for daily use cant feel much different
just buy at local MX500 500gb or 1TB and use it biggrin.gif

performance : Samsung and crucial is same i cant feel much different for daily use.

but samsung DATA MIGRATION software is very good much better than other SSD company.

If you need the software buy samsung if you dont need it just buy the cheapest.
both 5 year warranty.

USD 127.98 IS SSD PRICE
SHIPMENT FEE IS 7.44
IMPORT FEE IS 6.77

The currency is 4.44 so
USD 142.19 X 4.44 is around RM 631.43

yes 970 evo has limitations. however imo it really depends on usage. i still transfer files from sata hdd and ssd, so it really doesn't matter to me.

Placed order for 860 EVO 1TB from Amazon with expedited delivery. Still RM 70+ cheaper than Crucial MX500 1TB from lazada...

Keeping fingers crossed, should get it in 2 weeks. I suppose Samsung has international warranty, and Samsung service centre is not far from my house (of course, hoping that I never need to visit them)

For performance definitely go for m.2, it make no sense to got Crucial; MX500 as its bottlencked by SATA interface, unless your mobo is too old to use nvme.

I undrestand that. Just asking myself if that much speed is worth getting. It is like buying a sports car vs buying two luxury sedans. With 1TB, installing everything on the same disk makes a ton of sense, while having 250 GB NVMe means I need second drive for apps and storage.
