OMG! That price is awesome! Grab!

Bought 2 pcs of 500GB from Amazon last July for RM650 each including postage+tax.
Now it's like RM200 off, making it more attractive than the Samsung 970 EVO that has 20GB write limit.

i was wondering, does Convergent Distribution (M) Sdn Bhd will honor the warranty if it purchased from US?
if no, then what makes you buy from Amazon with no warranty?
*
Like any other local distributors, Convergent will not honor warranty for items purchased overseas.
If anything happened (touch wood), I will need to send it back to Amazon or directly to Crucial.
Can save some money but basically I'm buying at my own risk. biggrin.gif

Anyone know where else I can buy the ADATA SX8200 Pro SSD other than the useless EIT STORE?

SX8200 Pro, not the normal SX8200
*
Try contact Sun Cycle, local ADATA distributor.

31500 Lahat, Perak Darul Ridzuan, Malaysia.

Nevermind, found another store in Lazada and this seller offers Cash On Delivery too thumbsup.gif

hmm weird if you found only a few sellers selling this SX8200 Pro locally.
The buyers' comments are all for the non-Pro SX8200 model.
I'd say it hasn't even reach Malaysia's shore yet.

I think it should be fine, I choose COD for the payment method so I can check on the item immediately when the delivery guy comes to my office
If the item is not the actual SX8200 Pro, I can just refuse the delivery and ask the delivery guy to send back to seller

No harm no foul right?

By the way, I'm already using 950 Pro 512GB, do you think I should get the 512GB or upgrade to the 1TB instead? hmm.gif
I also thought of keeping my 950 Pro 512GB instead of selling it so I can use it to store important datas

If only I have more PCI-e lanes on my X99 desktop
40 lanes on the 5930K is simply not enough sweat.gif
*
No harm to try, update us if you managed to grab one.

5930K 40 lanes should be enough for up to 3-way SLI (x16/x8/x8) + dual M.2 x4.
Benefits of the single 1TB are ease of capacity management, more free NAND blocks, power saving, less heat and generally cheaper than dual 512GB drives. rclxm9.gif

not means that viewnet is main distributor for crucial products…more accurate way is one of the dealer for it…
*
Coincidentally or...
Viewnet: Simon (Si = small in Cantonese)
Convergent: Damon (Da = big in Mandarin)

Guys, I'm looking for a 1TB SATA SSD
Which one is better? Kingston UV500 or Crucial MX500?
Or is there anything better but still cheap

Not looking at Samsung as they are too expensive
Also no Kingston A400 as I'm looking for an SSD with DRAM Cache
*
Crucial MX500 has significantly higher 4K random performance.

Crucial MX500:
- Silicon Motion SM2258 4-channel controller
- 512MB DRAM cache
- Micron 64-layer 3D TLC NAND
- 95K/90K R/W IOPS

Kingston UV500:
- Marvell 88SS1074 4-channel controller
- 128MB DRAM cache
- Toshiba 64-layer 3D TLC NAND
- 79K/45K R/W IOPS

Cheaper option:
Patriot Burst:
- Phison PS3111-S11 single-core controller (budget controller same as Kingston A400)
- 32MB DRAM cache
- Toshiba 32-layer 3D TLC NAND
- 80K/60K R/W IOPS

Best bang-for-the-buck SSD that I've ever bought. Ditched my two brand new sealed 860 1TB that I bought earlier for RM600 each and went for this MX500 2TB for RM977 shipped (local SRP RM1.5k). Certainly the perfect choice for my game storage. rclxm9.gif

Seagate Barracuda is better in every aspect. smile.gif

Seagate Barracuda
- Phison PS5010-S10 quad-core controller (same as GIGABYTE UD Pro)
- 256MB DRAM cache
- Toshiba 64-layer 3D TLC NAND
- 90K/90K R/W IOPS

Patriot Burst
- Phison PS3111-S11 single-core controller (budget controller same as Kingston A400)
- 32MB DRAM cache
- Toshiba 32-layer 3D TLC NAND
- 80K/60K R/W IOPS
