the second choice for me is kingston hyperx fury. however it's just few ringgit cheaper than 850evo. (few ringgit vs. additional 2-year warranty for a new ssd)

for sandisk drives, i never use one sorry. (even if i do, i choose extreme pro; pricing wise it's not ideal for your budget)

you should scout garage sales for more options also.

Then I'm going to get Samsung from garage sales.

My pc hang again now so I guess can't be helped. Will make it as secondary disk for games

hopefully all are good for you after this. i recommend 850 evo because here we have several machines running on it. never had issues before. (about 2+ years already; it's the same for kingston hyperx fury)

yes i do. usually 15% for normal usage; at least 20% for work purposes. op is useful when the user-accessible capacity is almost full.

op helps maintaining speed/performance of ssd, since its controller can have direct access to confirmed unallocated space for its tasks, instead of spending more time to free up space for same tasks. it also helps to reduce write amplifications.

yeah op is for nand-based ssds in general. however new techs like intel optane will not need this anymore.

it's 850 evo equivalent. (the last time i checked they use same nand chips physically)

well, it's dirt cheap. the usual 850 evo 1tb is around 1.6k. eol yeah, but that doesn't affect its performance. (btw the seller claimed that they offer 12-month warranty, one-to-one exchange)

that is pretty cheap for a 1TB but it's kinda out of my budget at the moment. I was thinking more like 600 or below, Samsung's 850 Evo 500GB is unfortunately out of the range as well. I noticed that mainstream brand ~500GBs would be around 7xx - 9xx

I'm currently using a Lite-On PH3-CE240 for my games so I guess I'm ok with such quality of a SSD since they didn't give me any problem so far.

I'm using Kingston RAM, which came with Hynix. I don't trust Hynix DRAM, but I wonder why this type of OEM can simply sell?

I bought used WD10EZEX from LYN which lasted for a few months only. I'm scared with LYN seller, especially HDD/SSD.

If read the review SK Hynix Canvas SC300 still quite decent with MLC & 2D NAND. RM 90 bucks different I personally go for the Samsung TLC V-NAND.
