Plastic primer is another tricky business… not all plastics are the same… we can't just identify plastic by looking at the color. Only the manufacturer knows... Most seller will say "plastic lah" but is it PE, PP, PU, HDPE, MDPE, PET, PETE, HIP… etc etc. All react differently to coatings… pengsan

Etch primer also another generic name. Get zinc base etch primer will guarantee work on aluminum surfaces.

Etch primer are suitable for galvanized steel, chrome plating surfaces too. Always a good practice to read/know the paint content.

High build paint is nice but doing multiple normal coats (with sanding between coats) will always produce a more lustrous finishing.

Monsoon...........when I first ordered the frame (for another rider) it was an 18 inch wheeler. I didn't know there's a 20 inch model. The 18 inch was good, the frame was sturdy as it have two joining tubes but the smaller upper one is just a push rod. Should be OK, my guess is.

Nice. May I know how to do bike fitting on foldie?
Isn't that the adjustment is limited?
Thanks for guide
*
not so much limit
as u can see, u need to adjust saddle position correctly. also u can attach litepro stem extender to get more reach. depends on ur needs, height, inseam and others. its just like fitting ur rb or mtb rclxub.gif

as promise before,
i want to share images how to fit fnhon zephyr ka1618 with 349 wheels into ikea dimpa bag. sorry for the late post, i've been busy with kayuhan negaraku event held here at Seri Iskandar, Perak..

so here we go,
1st of all, my fnhon zephyr ka1618 fitted with 349 wheelset, non folding pedals and 31.5cm handlepost height bundle with the frame (i asked for 31.5cm height instead of 39cm by default). so when i wanted to fold inside the handelpost and handlebar touched my chainstay and make the fold bigger than it should be. so for conclusion, i need to buy at least 35cm height handpost, or buy the adjustable height handlepost or buy a fold outside handlepost. since this is my project bike and used for santai only, so no need for me to buy another handlepost.

1st attempt, failed..cant close the bag bangwall.gif

so i try to fold inside the handlepost and take out the seatpost

user posted image

2nd attempt like this one also failed!! vmad.gif

so i put outside the handlepost like 1st time i do it, but this time i pull out the seatpost. and the result

user posted image
it can fit! thumbup.gif

as for conclusion,
the dimpa bag can easily fit fnhon zephyr ka1618 with 305 wheelset and normal tradition fold inside handlepost. u will get below 10kg bike with those setup. lucky me, with 349 wheelset also i got total weight of 9.5kg easily.

My FGC 1609 with 349 wheelset+34cm handle post can fit in the dimpa bag nicely with certain angle to put in. try to fully open up the zip and fit the tire properly at the bottom part of the bag, should be quite easy to fit without remove the seatpost tho.

It does reinforce the frame when unfolded. Something like the Dahon Expresso.

Should I get the Xiaomi Qicycle Electric bicycle or a Brompton bike? Which bike is faster in speed?
Also, If I get the Brompton bike, where can I get it serviced if there are problems?

If you can afford Brompton, just pay someone to service for you.
Sure you want to compare a motorcycle with a folding bicycle? I personally prefer Axia, can keep rain and mud out and air conditioner is the killer. Kapchai is 2nd on my list, it's fast and can push it when I feel like working out.

Not sure if you are serious......

You are comparing two different things here and depending on who is pedaling. A Brompton world champion rider is probably faster than most riders on any bike. The electric bike would be much slower if the battery is about to expire. Depending on what is want the bike for. Neither may be suitable.

Nothing much can go wrong with a Brompton. If you can't lubricate a chain, then there's the problem laugh.gif There's no motor, what is there to service?
